Dear Diane, Roy, and your families – My heart aches at this time for your loss. Please know, it is not only your loss, but it is also the loss of the neighborhood. I have always been fond of your mother, but since the passing of your father, I have grown even closer to her; and I am taking her death to heart. It is difficult for me to drive into my driveway, knowing I will no longer see your mother’s welcoming smile or friendly wave. It is even more difficult knowing I will no longer be able to ring her front bell or knock on her back door just to visit. Your mother had such wisdom and shared her expert advice with me on more than one occasion. She had a warm and giving heart and a positive attitude, not to mention her extensive vocabulary. I was always amazed when conversing with her. She was a woman of class and style, always so eloquent in nature. Please know it is my loss as well. Ridgewood Road will not ever be the same without your mother Mary. I will miss her each and every day, and I will keep the peace of her soul in my daily prayers. I extend my sincerest condolences to each of you. With my deepest sympathy – Jennifer
