Myra I. Zoccola, 101 of Palmer Twp., PA passed away Sunday, February 2, 2025 at Vintage Knolls, Danville, PA. Born November 2, 1923 in Easton, PA she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Evelyn (Fortner) Werkheiser. While in school, she was featured in the NY Times for her design of one of the first women’s two-piece bathing suits.

Following graduation, she designed children’s clothing in NYC for Luv Brand. After WWII, she returned to Easton and married Frank Zoccola who died in 2001. Myra then worked for Rembrandt Photography Studio, painting photographs and she also worked as the office manager in her husband’s State Farm Insurance office for many years. We were neighbors for over 30 years and came to love Myra as more than a friend. She was such a gracious lady. Never complained and always had a kind word. We shared plants, conversations and drinks by the pool many, many times. She will be missed. Condolences to Debbie and her grandchildren who she loved dearly. Rest in peace dear Myra. Say hello to Frank for us. 🌹
