Lily “Jane” Pochek, 91 of Coopersburg, PA formerly of Palmer Twp., PA died Saturday, September 19, 2020 at home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Albert F. Pochek for 50 years before his passing in 2000. Born December 13, 1928 in Perth Amboy, NJ Jane was a daughter of the late Margaret (Murtha) and Arthur Coogan, Sr. and graduate of Woodbridge High School. She worked for the USAF in Stuttgart, Germany for the NCO Wives Club and was employed by the Christmas Club in Forks Twp. for 6 years. She and her husband were members of the Nazareth and Saucon Square Dance Clubs in the 1980’s.

She is survived by her son: Albert F. Pochek, Jr. (wife Catherine) with whom she resided; her daughter: Cyndy Pochek (fiancé Randy Kohler) of Easton; grandson: Kyle Pochek (wife Kayla) of Allentown; sisters: Margaret Miller of Bellville, NJ, Dyann Coogan-Hall of Palm Bay, FL; brother: Arthur Coogan of Woodbridge, NJ; nieces and nephews. A sister Blanche Jones and Jane’s beloved dog Pickles died earlier.

Naomi Dees Schleicher, 98, of The Terrace at Phoebe Allentown, formerly of Bethlehem Township, PA, died September 16, 2020 in Lehigh Valley Hospice after a brief illness.

She and the late Harry F. Schleicher were married for 54 years.
Naomi was an elementary school teacher in Merced, CA until getting married in 1945 and moving to PA. She then taught in Bethlehem Township and the Easton Area School District before retiring in 1978. She was a 1943 graduate of Fresno State College.

Born in Raymond, CA, she was a daughter of the late Robert B. Dees and Annebelle (Vinson) Dees.
She was a member of Calvary Moravian Church, Allentown and a former member of First United Church of Christ, Easton for 50 years where she was a teacher and consistory member. After retirement she volunteered at Easton Hospital and the Allentown School District. She participated in many capacities at The Terrace at Phoebe and Calvary Moravian Church.

Naomi is survived by daughters Anne E. Kaye and husband Daniel of Easton and by Mary S. Venditta and husband C. David of Allentown, grandchildren Teresa Steigerwalt of Pittsburgh, Ethan Kaye and wife Meghan of NYC, Thea Kaye Hand and husband Kevin of Easton and great grandson Smith Hand. She was preceded in death by granddaughter Rachel Steigerwalt, three brothers, and four sisters.
Naomi’s only regret was to miss voting in the 2020 election.

Ronald Walter Jung, 63 of Easton, PA died Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital Anderson Campus. Born March 2, 1957 in Kenosha, WI he was a son of the late Eleanor (Partenheimer) and Walter Jung. He was a graduate of Tremper High School in Kenosha and received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering. He was employed by Strahman Valve in Bethlehem for several years since moving to the Lehigh Valley. He was an active member of Cornerstone Church, Easton and member of their Life Group. He also helped build the Living Waters Bible Camp in Wausau, WI. Ron loved trains, boating, downhill skiing and was an avid race fan. He also loved bowling in the men’s league at Jordan Lanes.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Rosanne (Abati) Jung; 3 children: Michael Jung of Easton, PA, Adrian Jung of St. Paul, MN, Megan Jung of Dayton, OH; 3 sisters: Dori (Erv) Kittner of Ft. Wayne, IN, Marge (Dan) LaBenne of Hendersonville, NC, and Char (Wolf) Salewski of Hickory Cove, NC. His brother, David (Justine) Jung died earlier.

Richard A. Johnson, 83 of Forks Twp., PA passed peacefully, Sunday, September 13, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital-Anderson Campus. Born September 4, 1937 in East Stroudsburg, PA he was a son of the late Bertha (Hull) and Walter Johnson. He was a 1955 graduate of Easton High School and an Army veteran. He had been employed by Magnetic Windings, where he met and married his beloved wife Linda Sue (Seip) Johnson. He worked for Maier’s Bakery for many years and also enjoyed his 20 years as a vendor at the Saylorsburg Flea Market.

He is survived by 3 children: Richard W. and his wife Denise of Nazareth, PA, Vivian L. of New York City, NY,  Michael J. and his partner Janis of Wilson Borough, PA; and 2 grandchildren: Talia and Nicholas. He was predeceased by his wife: Linda Sue, sister: Carol Heavener, brothers: Stephen and James, and brother: Robert who died in infancy.

David Budd Riddagh, 91, of Melbourne, FL died peacefully on September 6, 2020.

David was born on March 16, 1929 in Easton, PA and was the son of the late Donald W. Riddagh and Isabel Osmun Riddagh (also step-mother Anne McConnell Riddagh). He was a graduate of Easton High School and Blair Academy in Blairstown, NJ. David had a beautiful voice and sang as a boy soprano on the local radio station, in a local church, and in his high school operetta. After graduating from Blair Academy, he lived in Phoenix, AR, where he hosted a radio show and sang at the Green Gables restaurant. David served his country during the Korean War as a Chaplain’s Assistant in Germany. Afterwards, he attended the Munich Conservatory of Music and sang opera in Europe for 13 years before returning to the U.S. He travelled for the next 10 years as an entertainer on various cruise ships with two being world cruises. David spent his next 30 years in Bushkill, PA, in the mountains that he loved. He was often recognized there because he always travelled with his pet monkey, Puchina. He moved to Satellite Beach, FL in 2017 to be near family.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Riddagh, Jr. and Douglas Riddagh. Survivors include sister-in-law Marilyn Opitz Riddagh of Satellite Beach, FL; niece Donna Riddagh Rowe (David) of Bethlehem, PA; nephew Gary Riddaugh (Harriet) of Dade City, FL; 5 great nieces and nephews and 5 great-great nieces and nephews.

Mary Lou Pyatt (Tadros), died Wednesday, September 2, 2020 in Valley Manor. Born October 9, 1958 in Phillipsburg, she was a daughter of the late Elizabeth Campbell and James Pyatt.

She graduated from Phillipsburg High School in 1977 and was a caregiver at Hunterdon State School in New Jersey for many years. Prior to that she was a correctional officer in New Jersey. She was best known as a musician in the area playing with many bands over the years.

Surviving are her sister, Kelly Pyatt and her companion, George Dayton and his family; two aunts, Ellanora Hamill and her husband, Ken and Irene Brodeur and her husband, Tim; cousins, Jason Brodeur and his wife, Christy, Brooke and Charles Cox and their children, Jack and Campbell and Amanda Pullin and her daughter, Bailey.
