Konstantinos Patronis, 91 of Wilson Borough, PA died Friday, November 23, 2018 at home with family by his side. Born May 21, 1927 in Marathia Evritanias, Greece he was a son of the late George and Varvara (Papaspiros) Patronis. He was employed by Ingersoll-Rand for many years before retiring and then at various Greek restaurants in the area. He was a devoted member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Wilson Borough.

He is survived by his son: Georgios Patronis of Bethlehem Twp., PA; 2 granddaughters and a great-grandson. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Vaso Karanikas  in February, 2 daughters: Niki Patronis and Sofia Brotzman, a brother and a sister.

Services are 11 AM Monday (Nov. 26) in Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 319 S. 20th St., Wilson with visitation 10 to 11 AM in the church. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling arrangements. Interment is in Gethsemane Cemetery.

Emidio C. “Tony” Bubba, 91, of Palmer Twp., PA died Monday, November 19, 2018 at ManorCare Old Orchard. Born July 7, 1927 in Easton, PA, he was a son of the late Mary (Ferriana) and Luigi Bubba. He graduated from Easton High School in 1945 and Rider College in 1952 where he was a member of the Delta Sigma Pi Fraternity and Skull and Sabers Honor Society.  He served in the Navy during WWII and had been the District Sales Manager for Griffin Pipe Products, Lynchburg, VA for 20 years before retiring in 1992. After retirement he worked for TEEBEE Sales in Palmer for 13 years. Tony was a member of First United Church of Christ, Easton where he was a past-president of Consistory, an Elder and a Deacon. He was a Boy Scout Leader for Troop #5 and was very active in F.&A.M. as Past-Master Dallas/Lafayette Lodge #396, Past-High-Priest Easton Chapter, Royal Arch Mason, Past-thrice Illustrious Master Pomp Council #20, Past Commander Hugh de Paynes Commandry #19, member Penn Priory Knights of the York Cross of Honor, Mary Conclave Red Cross Constantine and President of the Masonic Building Association for 10 years. He was also a Past-President of the Woodland Hills Country Club Men’s Association. Tony loved golfing, traveling and his dogs.

He is survived by nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Valoise L. “Val” (Case) Bubba in 2014; a brother, Russell Bubba and sisters, Clara Erdo and Elizabeth Szulborski.

Services are 10 AM Friday in First United Church of Christ, 27 N. 3rd Street, Easton with visitation from 9:30 AM to 10 AM in the church. Interment in Northampton Memorial Shrine. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling arrangements.

Christine “Hrisavghi” Hronis, 95 of Palmer Twp., PA died Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at home. Born July 17, 1923 in Greece she was a daughter of the late Anastasia (Hadgidemitriou) and Triandafilo Hadgistavrou. She had been employed by S & H Sportswear until 1969 and was the co-owner with her husband Peter of Pete’s Steak Shop, now Palmer Diner and Forks Diner. She was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church and was affectionately known to many as Mama and Yiayia.  Christine enjoyed cooking, sewing, going to Hess’s/Bon Ton at the Palmer Park Mall, and family events.  She had a great love of spending time with her grandchildren. The highlight of her year was attending the wedding of Christina and Richie.  Christine will always be with us in spirit.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years Peter Hronis; her son William Hronis and his wife Tammy of Palmer Twp.; a sister Syrmo Saroglou of Middletown, NY; 2 grandchildren: Christina Capitano and her husband Richie and Peter Hronis and nieces and nephews.

Services are 11 AM Monday in Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 319 S. 20th Street, Wilson with visitation 5 to 7 PM Sunday in the church. Interment in Northampton Memorial Shrine. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling arrangements.

The family recognizes the staff of Lehigh Valley Hospice/Homecare for the comfort, care, and tenderness given to Christine.  Also, the family wishes to thank all the family members and friends who came to visit Christine to furnish thoughts, prayers, and food.

Harold A. Frankenfield, 90 of Easton, PA died Monday, November 12, 2018 at New Eastwood Care Center. Born December 1, 1927 in Phillipsburg, NJ he was a son of the late Beulah May (Kelchner) and Marvin W. Frankenfield. He was a WWII Army Air Corps veteran and employed by Bell and Howell for 20 years before retiring in 1989. Prior to that he was employed by Harold’s Shell Service and Easton Electrical Device. He was a member of Safety First and Avona Fire House.

He is survived by his children: Jean Sampson (husband Thomas) of Forks Twp., PA, Lynn Walters (husband Jeffrey) of Palmer Twp., PA, Paul Hulbert (wife Delma) and David Hulbert (wife Joan) of Wilson Borough; brothers: Sherwood Frankenfield and Martin Frankenfield of Forks Twp.; sisters: Frances Thomas of Palmer Twp., Betty Short in SC; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter. He was predeceased by his wife the former Isabel Schlough in 2012, a brother: Marvin Frankenfield and sister: Bessie Daws.

Services are 10:30 AM Friday (Nov. 16) in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton, PA with visitation 6 to 7:30 PM Thursday and 10 to 10:30 AM Friday. Interment in Northampton Memorial Shrine.

Barbara Weitzman, 92 formerly of Easton, PA and Lake Worth, FL passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018. Born July 11, 1926 in Greensburg, PA she was a daughter of the late Phillip and Bessie (Sherer) Rosenbaum and sister of the late Robert Rosenbaum. She was married to her beloved husband of 50 years Leonard Weitzman who died in 2001. Barbara was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and was a medical technologist in her early years. She was a long-time member of Temple Covenant of Peace, Easton and its Sisterhood, a member of Hadassah, and the Jewish Community Center, Easton. She also volunteered for Meals on Wheels. Barbara enjoyed the arts, theatre, lectures, traveling, flower arranging, Mah Jongg, dancing, singing and cherished time spent with family and friends.

She is survived by daughters: Phyllis Weitzman Rosen (husband Warren) of Philadelphia, PA,  Esther Weitzman Wenck (husband Jeffrey) of Allentown, PA; son: Bruce Weitzman (wife Stephanie) of Glenside, PA; four cherished grandchildren: Kevin Wenck (wife Lindsay), Keith Wenck (fiancé Kate Zuber), Jacob Weitzman, Kathryn Weitzman; a great-grandchild: Gunnar Wenck; nephew: Ellis Weitzman (wife Colleen); great-nephew: Joel Weitzman (wife Shaddie), great-nieces: Jessica and Julie Weitzman; and great-great-nephew: Aaron Weitzman.

Services are 11 AM Wednesday (Nov. 14) in the Temple Covenant of Peace, 1451 Northampton St., Easton. Interment is in Easton Cemetery. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling arrangements.

Richard S. “Dick” Weidman, 85, of Bethlehem, formerly of Portland, Pa., died Sunday, November 11, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital – Anderson Campus with his family by his side.

Born December 2, 1932 in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late James Weidman, Jr. and Edith (Servis) Weidman.  He and his wife, Carol A. (Hamer) Weidman were married 62 years.

Dick was the comptroller for Bethlehem Steel, Marion Barbour Division, Bridgeport, W. Va., retiring in 1980 after 25 years.  Later he worked for the West Virginia Treasury Department in Charleston, W. Va.  He served in the US Navy during the Korean War and attended First Baptist Church, Bethlehem.

Surviving with his wife, Carol, are his son, Richard S. “Rick” Weidman, Jr. and his wife, Lisa, of Abington, Pa.; a brother, David Weidman and his wife, Robin, of Portland, Pa.; a sister, Stephanie Weidman of Portland, Pa.; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  His brother, James Weidman, III died earlier.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 17, 2018 in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton.  A visitation will be held from 9:00 am until service time on Saturday in the funeral home.  Interment will follow in Portland Cemetery.
