Shirley M. Kinsley, 89 formerly of Belvidere, NJ died Friday, February 23, 2018 at ManorCare Old Orchard. Born June 15, 1928 in Belvidere, NJ she was a daughter of the late Helen (Shay) and Calvin Thatcher. She was of the Lutheran faith and loved to garden.

She is survived by a daughter: Yolanda Braun of Forks Twp., PA; 2 sons: Lester Hoffman of Belvidere, Ralph Hoffman of Bath, PA; brothers: Donald and Lou Thatcher; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Her husband Robert E. Kinsley and 5 siblings died earlier.

Services are private. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling arrangements.

Philip “Pip” Catalino, 90, of Calabash, NC, formerly of Roseto, died Thursday, February 22, 2018 in New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Born November 3, 1927 in Roseto, he was a son of the late Anthony and Lucy (Sabatine) Catalino.

Pip worked for Valerie Fashions, Wind Gap for many years and retired in 1992.  He served in the Army during WWII and was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church; American Legion, Post 750, Roseto; Columbia Fire Co., Roseto and Pius X Athletic Association.

Surviving are his wife, Rose M. (Palmisano) Catalino; a son, Guy Catalino and his wife, Jane of Calabash, NC; a brother, Neil Catalino of Las Vegas; grandchildren, Tiffany, Sean, Jillian and Daniel and a great grandson, Liam.

Services will be held at 9:00 am on Saturday, March 3, 2018 in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton.  A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:30 pm on Thursday, March 1st in the funeral home.   Entombment will be held privately in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Linda Sue Johnson, 70 of Forks Twp., PA passed peacefully Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Easton Hospital. Born July 14, 1947 in Easton, PA she was the middle daughter of the late Doris (Pittenger) and Joseph E. Seip. She grew up on Easton’s South Side graduating from Easton High School in 1965. As a secretary at Magnetic Windings, she met and married her love Richard A. Johnson. As the family grew they moved to their lifelong home in Forks Twp. where they raised three children and she mothered their neighborhood friends. Her caring and compassion brought her to the VNA of Easton as a CNA where clients benefited from her warm demeanor.

Linda leaves behind her husband of almost 50 years, Richard; 3 children: Richard W. and his wife Denise of Nazareth, PA, Vivian L. of New York City, Michael J. and his companion Janis of Wilson Borough;  2 grandchildren: Talia and Nicholas; sisters: Irene Murray of Williams Twp., PA and Cathy Torcivia of Wilson and her Chihuahua: Harvey.

Edward J. “Buddy” Rogers, Jr.  73 of Easton, PA died Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg. Born October 11, 1944 in Easton he was a son of the late Elsie (Schiele) and Edward Rogers, Sr. He was a Marine Corps Veteran and life member of the Fleas Club, Liberty Hose Club and Safety First Vol. Fire Co.  Buddy had been employed by Laros Printing in Bethlehem Twp. for many years. He also loved fishing, bowling, golfing and time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years Sheila E. (Harstine) Rogers; 3 sons: Edward, III of Wilson Borough, Russell and his wife Tara of Sciota, Jr., PA, Kevin and his wife Tanya of Bethlehem, PA; brothers: James of Wilson, John of Easton; sisters: Lois Wilson of Upper Nazareth Twp., PA, Fredrica Rogers of Wilson; and 8 grandchildren. A sister Roadlia Rogers died earlier.

A Memorial Gathering for the public will be held from 4 to 6:00 PM Friday, Feb. 23 at the West Easton Fire Company, 307 6th Street, West Easton, PA. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling arrangements.

Russell S. Albert, Jr., 74, of Wilson Borough, died Thursday, February 15, 2018 in New Eastwood Healthcare Center.

Born April 8, 1943 in Easton, he was a son of the late Russell S. and Florence M. (Beohm) Albert.  His wife, Leona (Purdy) Albert died in 2006.

Russell worked for Cooper Industries, Palmer Township and retired in 2016 from Abec, Inc., Bethlehem.  He served in the Army during the Vietnam War.

Surviving are his sons, Russell, Steven and Douglas Albert; sisters, Maryann Fisher and Donna Albert and 8 grandchildren.

Services will be private under the direction of the Ashton Funeral Home, Easton.
