Margaret Alma Nagy

Margaret Alma Nagy, 95 of Easton, PA and previously Beverly Hills, FL died Friday, October 6, 2017 at home. Born July 29, 1922 in Wilkes-Barre, PA she was the daughter of the late Herbert Miller and Margaret (Appel) Miller Edelman. She and her husband George Nagy have been married 67 years. A graduate of Grand Army of Republic High School in Wilkes-Barre she had been employed by the Bell Telephone Co. for many years.

She is survived by: her husband, George; 4 children: Wayne French and his wife Maria in Peru, Kathleen McIntyre and her husband Tom of Conway, SC, Georganne Chiumento and her husband Dominick of Bethlehem, PA, George Nagy of Easton; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren.

Joanne M. Fischer

Joanne M. Fischer, 84, formerly of Easton, died Friday, October 6, 2017 in Fellowship Terrace, Whitehall.

Born January 5, 1933 in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Charlotte (Banko) Schmidt. Her husband, Carl J. Fischer, Sr., died in 2011.

Joanne was a cashier at Easton Hospital for 15 years and retired in 1988. She was an active member of Grace Bible Fellowship Church, Nazareth, a past president of the Fairview School PTA, past president of the
Wilson Area High School Band Boosters and a Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader.

Surviving are a son, Carl J. Fischer, Jr. and his wife, Julie; a daughter, Sharon L. Lantzer and her husband, Jeff; a sister, Jeanette C. Schmidt; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 6:30 pm on Monday, October 9, 2017 in Grace Bible Fellowship Church, 100 East Beil Ave., Nazareth. A visitation will be held from 5:30 pm until service time on Monday in the church. A gathering of family and friends will follow the service in the church fellowship hall. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling the arrangements.

Linda Sue Fisher

Linda Sue Fisher, 68 of Forks Twp., PA died Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. Born April 28, 1949 in Linden, NJ she was the daughter of Frances M. (Burch) Morrison of Forks Twp. and the late Theodore Morrison. A graduate of South Plainfield High School, she worked at the Steeple Chase Cancer Center at Somerset Hospital for many years. Prior to that she was a substitute teacher at North Plainfield High School. Linda was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Easton.

She is survived by her mother: Frances; her husband of 48 years: Edward C. Fisher; sons: Edward C. Fisher, III of Phillipsburg, NJ, Michael T. Fisher and his wife Rebecca of Seattle, WA; a sister: Dorothy Herriott and her husband Rod of Mesa, AZ and many cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held 3 PM Tuesday, Oct. 10 in First Presbyterian Church, 333 Spring Garden St., Easton, with a calling period from 1:30 to 3 PM in the church. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling arrangements.

Vickie S. Stein, 64 of Easton, PA died Friday, September 29, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospice House. Born October 23, 1952 in Easton, PA she was a daughter of the late Clifford Everitt and Florence (Feflie). She had been a teacher’s aide at ProJeCt of Easton.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years: Clarence Ben Stein, Jr.; children: Paul Krasnopero of Paris, FL, Curtis Krasnopero of Bethlehem, PA, Tari Schoenberger of Easton; siblings: Ronald Everitt of Easton, Diane McCloskey of Easton; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.

Joe L. Freeman

Joe L. Freeman, 81, formerly of Phillipsburg, NJ, died Thursday, September 28, 2017 in ManorCare, Bethlehem.

Born August 19, 1936 in Phillipsburg, he was a son of the late Harold and Mary (Kase) Freeman. He and his wife, Glendora were married 49 years.

Joe worked for IKG Industries, Easton and James River, Milford, NJ. He also served in the US Army.

Surviving with his wife, Glendora, are two daughters, Lorilynn Fearon of Rockaway, NJ and Leatrice Current of Newton, NJ; a son, Louis Freeman of Bangor; two sisters, Elizabeth and Lillian; and six grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm on Monday, October 2, 2017 in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton.

Frank B. Bloomfield

Frank B. Bloomfield, 68 of Forks Twp., PA died peacefully Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017 at home. Born Feb. 4, 1949 in Lansing, Michigan he was the son of the late Jack and Frances (Razzo) Bloomfield. His wife, the former Mary Margaret Hanrahan died in 2008.

Frank was raised in Orange, NJ, attended St. Venantius School and graduated from Orange HS in 1967. He received his BA from Seton Hall University in 1974 and his MA from William Paterson University in 1982. He had a long career with AT&T receiving numerous awards before retiring as Project Manager in 2014. Frank enjoyed cooking, playing cards and in retirement, golfing, but his greatest enjoyment was watching his two daughters grow to be the strong, beautiful women they are today.

He is survived by his daughters: Catherine and Madeline; his significant other: Yvonne Dailey; and his dear friend: Felix Spinelli.

A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday (Sept. 30) in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton, with a calling period 5 to 6:30 PM Friday in the funeral home.

Eugene J. Swarctz, 95, formerly of Clifton, NJ, died Thursday, September 21, 2017 in Alexandrea Manor.

Born December 13, 1921 in Wallington, NJ, he was a son of the late Joseph and Anna (Polak) Szwarc. His wife, Rose Marie (Serritella) Swarctz died in 2014. He served in the Army during WWII.

Surviving are his son, Joseph Swarctz of Forks Township and a granddaughter.

Pat Jud Colicchio

Pat Jud Colicchio, 90 of Wanaque, NJ died Sept. 21, 2017 in Bryan, TX. Born Jan. 17, 1927 in Haskell, NJ he was a son of the late Pat and Nancy (DelVecchio) Colicchio. A graduate of Butler High School, he served in the Navy during WWII and was employed by the Passaic County Sewage Works. He was the Mayor of Wanaque from 1983 to 1986, a Councilman and former Wanaque Democratic Chair. Jud had been a past-president and member of Lakeland Regional School Board and was a member of the VFW, Lions Club, American Legion and life member of Haskell Volunteer Fire Department.

He is survived by 2 sons: Robert and Robin Colicchio and 2 grandchildren: Julie and David August Colicchio.
