Bettyjane Haas

Bettyjane Haas, 75 of Easton, PA died Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill. Born June 3, 1941 in Easton she was a daughter of the late Harold and Dolores (Mason) Cosper. Her husband Clayton C. Haas, Jr. died in 1996.

She is survived by five children: “Mac” McEntire (wife Mary), Janice Killey (husband Robby) of Wilson Borough, Floyd McEntire (wife Carleen) of Phillipsburg, NJ, Kathy Beers (husband Paul) of Tatamy, PA, Linda DeBias of Easton; brothers: Butch Cosper in TN, Floyd Cosper of Easton; sister: Janice Baker of Palmer Twp.; 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband: Clayton; daughter: Sandra Donato and sister: Janet Krebbs.

Services are 2:00 PM Monday (Oct. 17) in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton with a calling period from 1 to 2 PM.  Interment is in Northampton Memorial Shrine.

Consuelo S. “Connie” Krohn

October 10, 2016

Consuelo S. “Connie” Krohn, 89 of Easton, PA died October 10, 2016 in St. Petersburg, FL. Born March 1, 1927 in Bethlehem, PA she was a daughter of the late Earl and Myrtle (Hoffman) Schaffer. Her husband Peter Krohn died in 1994. Connie was a very active member of the Easton Branch of AAUW where she was a Named Gift Honoree in 1984 and received the Outstanding Woman of the Year Award in 1990.

She is survived by: 2 sons: Michael Krohn and his wife Laura and Steven Krohn; 5 Grandchildren: Christine, Jason, Jared, Danielle and Timothy; and 2 Great-Grandchildren: Tyler and Ava.

Services were private.

E. Darlene Overbeck

October 8, 2016

Eleanor Darlene Overbeck, 79 of Easton died Saturday, October 8, 2016 at ManorCare, Easton. Born December 2, 1936 in Olathe, KS she was a daughter of the late Mildred (Miller) and Robert Bell. Her husband Charles “Glenn” Overbeck died in 1999.

She is survived by three daughters: Patricia Griffin (husband Walter) and Kathy Prough of Stonewall, OK,  Susan Reilly (husband Robert) of Wilson Borough; a brother: Robert Bell in CA; a sister: Barbara Wasson in AZ; 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband and a granddaughter.

A Graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, October 13 in the Northampton Memorial Shrine, 3051 Green Pond Road, Easton.  The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling arrangements.

Michael G. Borlodan

Michael G. Borlodan, 75, of Lower Nazareth Township, died Friday, October 7, 2016 in his home.

Born July 28, 1941 in Allentown, he was a son of the late John and Mary (O’Hearn) Borlodan.  He and his wife, Kathleen (Woytusik) Borlodan were married 46 years in May.

Michael worked at Bethlehem Steel for over 35 years and retired in 1998.  He served in the Navy and was an avid golfer and fisherman.

Surviving with his wife, Kathleen, are 3 sons, David and his wife, Tara of Virginia, Brian of Nazareth and Scott of California, 4 grandchildren, Madeleine, Brianna, Avery and Cadence and a great granddaughter, Emmarie.  His brother, Jack, died earlier.

Leonarda M. “Lee” Litzenberger

Leonarda  M. “Lee” Litzenberger, 86 of Palmer Twp., PA died Friday, October 7, 2016 at Moravian Village in Bethlehem. Born July 5, 1930 in Easton she was a daughter of the late Michelina (Dabilio) and Cologero Galanti. Her husband Wayne A. Litzenberger died in 2003. She had been employed by AAA in Phillipsburg, NJ and Williams Restaurant in Palmer before retiring from the emergency road service department of the Northampton County AAA.  Lee was a member of St. Paul’s Third Lutheran Church, Palmer Twp. and a member of the Senior Circle. She also volunteered at Easton Hospital and the Friary.

She is survived by two daughters: Laurene Palermo of Gouldsboro, PA, Erika Milkovitz and her husband Edward of Palmer Twp.; a sister: Marian Mallardi of Allentown, PA; three grandsons: Brian Palermo and wife Laura, Tyler Milkovitz,  Bret Milkovitz; and three great-grandchildren: Cora, Madison and Jacob Palermo.

Services are 10:30 AM Wednesday, (October 12) in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton, with visitation 6 to 7:30 PM Tuesday.  Interment in Northampton Memorial Shrine.

Hazel J. Loebsack

Hazel J. Loebsack, 91 of Easton, PA died Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Gracedale, Nazareth, PA.  Born March 2, 1925 in Martins Creek, PA she was a daughter of the late Edith (Jones) and Edward Hull. Her husband George H. Loebsack died in 2000.

She was employed by the Chipman Knitting Mills and Hotel Easton for many years before retiring. She had also been a member of the former Zion Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her brother: Edward Hull, Sr. of Phillipsburg, NJ and a step-son: Dale Loebsack of Easton.

Services are 2 PM Wednesday (Oct. 12) in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton Street, Easton. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine.

Millie J. Styers

October 4, 2016

Millie J. Styers, 79, of Wilson Borough, died peacefully Tuesday, October 4, 2016 in ManorCare, Palmer Township.

Born July 21, 1937 in Wilson Borough, she was a daughter of the late Earl Rehrig and Blanche (Garis) Rehrig Vought.

Millie worked at CVS Pharmacy for 35 years and retired in 2009.  She was a member of Arndt’s Lutheran Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Joanne Horton and her husband, Ralph, of Forks Township, Jill Buttrick and her husband, Chip, of Fairplay, Colorado and Jamie Leidy of Wilson Borough, a sister, Eleanor Bedo, six grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  Her brothers, Herbert Rehrig and Harry Rehrig and her sister, Virginia Frey died earlier.

A memorial service will be held 4:00 PM, Sunday, October 9, 2016 in Arndt’s Lutheran Church, 1851 Arndt Rd., Easton.  A visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until service time on Sunday in the church.  The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling the arrangements.  Offer online condolences at www.AshtonFuneralHome.com.

Nancy S. Leibensperger

Nancy S. Leibensperger, 69, of Phillipsburg, died Saturday, October 1, 2016 in The Gardens for Memory Care, Easton.

Born January 24, 1947 in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Clara (Lear) Faur.  Her husband, Sidney G. Leibensperger died earlier this year.

Nancy was a nurse’s aide at Karen Ann Quinlan Home Care.  She also worked at Ingersoll Rand.

She was a member of St. Philip and St. James Church, Phillipsburg and a member of Catholic Daughters.  She was a consultant for Mary Kay and a volunteer at Warren Hospital.

Surviving are her daughter, Shelley Seip of Easton, a brother, Frank Faur, a sister, Patricia Simpson, 2 grandchildren and a great granddaughter.  Her brother, Anthony Faur died earlier.
