Barbara S. Lupi

Barbara S. Lupi, 58, of Nazareth, PA died Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Gracedale.

Born May 10, 1956 in Pottsville, PA she was a daughter of the late Harold and Anna (Berger) Weismiller. Her husband Paul Lupi predeceased her.

A graduate of Easton High School, she had been employed as a secretary for several years.

She is survived by a son Kenneth Wilson of Easton; sisters: Nancy Harstine of Stroudsburg, PA, Lori Nemeth of Nazareth, PA; sister-in-law: Roxann Weismiller of Wilson Borough, PA and a grandson: Isaac. A brother William Weismiller died earlier.

Services are private. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling the arrangements.

Phuoc Dang, 71, of Easton, died Wednesday, February 4, 2015 in ManorCare, Palmer Township.

He was born November 10, 1943 in Vietnam.

Surviving are his wife, Nang Vu, a daughter, Thu Dang of Hatfield, PA, a son, Hai Dang of California and 2 grandchildren.

Ivey R. Spurrier

February 4, 2015

Ivey R. Spurrier, 98, of Avona Heights, died Wednesday, February 4, 2015 in her home.

Born February 19, 1916 in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Orville Wilbur and Lilly Mae (Bowes) Hineline.

She and her husband, Reuben C. Spurrier were married 57 years.  Ivey was a graduate of LaVallee School of Cosmetology and Churchman Business School.  She worked for the Easton Area School District for 10 years and retired in 1972.  After retiring, she owned and operated Ivey Ceramics.

Ivey was a member of St. Paul’s III Lutheran Church, Palmer Township.  She was an avid bowler and served as secretary for the Flower League at Bar-Don Lanes.

Surviving with her husband, Reuben are her daughters, Joan Mary Layne and her husband, Sammie of Aston, PA and Patricia England Rush of Chalfont, PA, a sister, Ruth E. Gray of Palmer Township, 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandsons.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 7, in St. Paul’s III Lutheran Church, Palmer Township.  The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling the arrangements.

Louise M. Serfass

Louise M. Serfass, 85, of Easton, formerly of Yardley, died Wednesday, February 4, 2015 in Frederick Living, Frederick, Pa.

Born September 12, 1929 in Englewood, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Eric Edwin and Emma (Rees) Noren.

Her husband, Jack Serfass died in 2003.  Louise graduated from Rider University and was a teacher’s aide at Steinert High School, Hamilton Township, NJ.  She was a member of the U R Welcome Club of Easton.

Surviving are two daughters, Linda L. Serfass of Hudson, Massachusetts and Susan S. Warren and her husband, David of Schwenksville, Pa., a son, Douglas J. Serfass and his wife, Melissa of Little Rock, Arkansas, a brother, Rees Noren and three grandchildren, James, Kathryn and Christina Warren.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.  The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling the arrangements.

Willard I. Odenwelder

Willard I. “Odey” Odenwelder, 57, of Northampton, PA died Monday, Feb. 2, 2015 at home.

Born Dec. 12, 1957 in Easton, PA he was a son of the late Willard and Lorna Odenwelder.

He was an auto technician most recently employed at the Meineke Car Care Center in Bethlehem, PA.  He was also a member of the Raccoon Club and Lappawinzo Club both in Northampton.

He is survived by his wife: Kim Jacoby; his kids: Jimmy, Bubba, Tabby, T.T., and his brother: Scott.

A gathering to celebrate his life will be held from 9 AM to Noon? on Saturday, February 14 at the Raccoon Club, 7662 Tanglewood Road, Northampton, PA

Robert J. Sostorecz

Robert J. Sostorecz

Robert J. Sostorecz, 69, of Ormond Beach, FL, formerly of Easton, passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 1, 2015 with his wife by his side. Born July 25, 1945 in Easton, PA, he was the son of the late Eugene and Irene (Sule) Sostarecz. He and the love of his life Jessie were married for 27 years.

Bob was a graduate of Easton High School Class of 1963 and Northampton Community College. He was a firefighter for the City of Easton for 28 years before retiring in 1997 with the rank of Captain. After moving to Daytona Beach, FL he began a second career with Daytona Speedway and NASCAR for 13 years. Bob was a friend to all he met and always found the good in everyone. He was a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan, enjoyed living and every day was an adventure.

He is survived by his wife, Jessie; brothers: Eugene and his wife Joan of Bethlehem Twp., PA, Craig and his wife Janice, Jeffery and his wife Nanci all of Easton; sister: Sandy Koch and her husband Norman of Bethlehem Twp., PA; sons: Richard and Jeffery; grandchildren; nephews and nieces: Jay, Michael, James, Ryan, Eric, Melanie, Kristi, Mandy, Stacey, Taylor and Janice. His sister Jean and brother James died earlier.

A Memorial Service will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 12 in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton, PA with a calling period from 9 to 10:30 a.m.

Philip T. “Toby” Consentino

Philip T. “Toby” Consentino, 66, of Easton, died Sunday, February 1, 2015 in Easton Hospital.

Born March 21, 1948 in Easton, he was a son of the late John and Lena Consentino.

He and his wife, the former Elizabeth A. Rak were married 15 years.  He was a truck driver for White Rox Chemical, Phillipsburg and a member of Green Pond United Methodist Church, Easton.

Surviving with his wife, Elizabeth are a son, Harold Consentino of Bethlehem, brothers, John Consentino and Randy Consentino, and sisters, Lena Brunstetter and Brenda Mitchell.  His brothers, Harry Consentino and Richard Consentino died earlier.

Mary Louise Condomitti

Mary Louise Condomitti, 77, of Easton, died Sunday, February 1, 2015 in Lehigh Valley Hospital.

Born February 22, 1937 in Wilson Borough, she was a daughter of the late George and Gertrude (Dungan) Patterson.

Her husband, Samuel Condomitti died in 1999.  She worked for the Borough of Catasauqua for many years until retiring.

She was a member of Wesley Church, Bethlehem and a member of the knitting group of Christ Evangelical Congregational Church “Blue Church”, Williams Township.

Surviving are two sons, Dale Roth and his wife, Melinda of Alabama and Roger Roth and his wife, Lori of Carlisle; a daughter, Jan Raso of Wilson Borough; two brothers, George Patterson of Easton and Charles Patterson of Easton; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.  Her brother, William Patterson and her son-in-law, Andre Raso died earlier.

Services will be held at 1:30 pm Thursday, February 5 in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton.  A visitation will be held from 6 – 7:30 pm Wednesday in the funeral home.
