Emery “Poker” Clark, Jr.

Emery “Poker” Clark, Jr., 53, of Easton, PA died Saturday, November 9, 2013.

Born: February 25,1960 in Clermont, FL he was a son of Mildred (Fuller) Clark of Easton, PA and the late Emery Clark, Sr.

Personal: A 1976 graduate of Easton High School, he had been employed by Lafayette College, K & N Soul Food and Circle Systems.  He was known in Easton as kindhearted and a great handyman. He loved playing his guitar and singing with his band in the late 1970’s.

Memberships: He was a member of Holy Bethlehem Pentecostal Church.

Survivors: Son: Emery, III; daughter: Lovetesha and her wife Holly; brothers: Stacy, Carl and Eric; sister: Shirley; 4 grandchildren including Isaiah; 7 nieces/nephews; 6 great-nieces/nephews and his children’s mother: May VanHorn. His grandmother: Georgia Mae Jefferson, sister: Deborah and his lifelong friend Kenny Staton all died earlier.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Green Pastures Community Church, 28 N. 10th St., Easton with visitation from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in the church; the Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling the arrangements. Interment will be in Easton Heights Cemetery.

Memorials: May be made to the family c/o the funeral home.

Fernando J. Ramos

November 8, 2013

Fernando J. Ramos, 58, of Easton died Friday, November 8, 2013.

Born:  September 11, 1955 in Jayuya, Puerto Rico, he was a son of the late Maximino Ramos-Domingues and Georgina Quiles Roche.

Personal:  His wife, Barbara Embrey Ramos died earlier. He was a manager at Molded Acoustical Products of Easton for 23 years.

Memberships:  He was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Parish, Easton.

Survivors:  A son, Ryan Lassiter of Easton; a daughter, Angela Ramos of Phillipsburg; brothers, Maximino Ramos, Julio A. Ramos, Wilfredo Ramos, Rosali Ramos, Carlos L. Ramos and Manuel Ramos; sisters, Victoria DeJesus, Aracelis Ramos, Nancy Ramos and Ofelia Ramos; and 6 grandchildren.  His daughter, Victoria L. Ramos died earlier.

Services:  10:00 am Thursday, Nov. 14 in Our Lady of Mercy Church, 131 Davis St., Easton.  Call from 6 to 7:30 pm Wednesday in Our Lady of Mercy Church and from 9:00 am until service time Thursday in the church.  Interment will be in South Easton Cemetery. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling the arrangements.

Blanche M. Hann

Blanche M. Hann, 64, of Easton, PA died Friday, November 8, 2013 at Gracedale.

Born: March 1, 1949 in Easton she was a daughter of the late Gustav and Ruth (Jones) Hoops.

Personal: She had worked at the Wash-a-teria in Wilson and as a nurse’s aide in Illinois for many years. She loved bingo, puzzle books and time with her grandchildren.

Survivors: Four children: Danielle Hann; Tyson Hann and his wife Autumn all of Easton; Preston Hoops and his wife Megan in Japan; Richard Hann and his wife Robin in Illinois; siblings: Synthia Snyder; Julia Roe; Melinda Ford; Melody Pedroza; Larry, Dennis, Meg and Phillip Hoops; and 6 grandchildren.

Services: Will be private; the Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling the arrangements.

Memorial Contributions: May be made to the American Cancer Society.

William Allen Marsh

William Allen Marsh, 36, of Easton, died Thursday, November 7, 2013 in his home.

Born:  June 26, 1977 in Palmer Township, he was a son of the late Jerry and Patricia Ann (Marsh) Stanton.

Personal:  He worked at Ocean Restaurant, Easton.

Survivors:  His son, Aidan.

Services:  Private.

Dorothy M. Albino

November 2, 2013

Dorothy M. Albino, 82, formerly of Bethlehem, died Saturday, November 2, 2013 in Emeritus at Allentown.

Born:  May 8, 1931 in Williston, ND, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Olga (Knudson) Johnson.

Personal:  She graduated from Pace University with a BS degree in economics and became the first woman Vice President of Chemical Bank in Manhattan.  Her first husband, George Katranakis and her second husband, Caesar Albino died earlier.

Survivors:  Her daughter, Teresa Langoussis of Bethlehem; her brother, Roy Johnson; and her grandson, Nicholas.

Services:  6:30 pm Wednesday in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton.  A visitation will be held from 5:30 pm until service time Wednesday in the funeral home.

Clayton R. Resh, Jr.

November 2, 2013

Clayton R. Resh, Jr., 80, of Plainfield Township, died Saturday, November 2, 2013 in his home.

Born:  October 12, 1933 in Easton, he was a son of the late Clayton R. and Anna (Krome) Resh.

Personal:  He was a general inspector for McTish, Kunkel and Associates, owned Peerless Homes in the Lehigh Valley and served in the Army.

Memberships:  He was a member of Arndt’s Lutheran Church, Forks Township and the Optimist Club.

Survivors:  Daughter, Kristin E. Brainard of Knoxville, TN; son, Matthew C. Resh of Hellertown; sister Colleen Hayes of Slatington and his beloved dog, Woody Resh.  His brother, George Resh and his sister, Frieda Trauger died earlier.

Services:  A graveside service will be held at the Arndt’s Cemetery, Forks Township at 11:30 am on Wednesday, Nov. 6.  The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling the arrangements.

Robert A. Reuss, Sr.

Robert A. Reuss, Sr. 84, of Stockertown, died Friday, November 1, 2013 in his home.

Born:  July 17, 1929 in Easton, he was a son of the late John N. and Hilda (Jones) Reuss.

Personal:  His wife, the former Geraldine L. Fackenthal died in 2000.  He owned and operated the former City Service Gas Station, Stockertown, he founded Deerfoot Auto Parts, Wind Gap and was a member of Carpenter’s Union Local 600.

Survivors:  sons, Robert A. Reuss of Tatamy; Roland A. Reuss of Nazareth; John G. Reuss of Bethlehem; and James G. Reuss of Forks Township; daughter, Renee A. Von Steuben of Pen Argyl; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.  His brothers, William Reuss and John Reuss died earlier.

Services:  1:30 pm Tuesday in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton. Call from 7 to 8 pm Monday in the funeral home.  Interment in Easton Cemetery.

Charles C. Chamberlin

Charles C. Chamberlin, 69, of Bethlehem Township, died Friday, November 1, 2013 in St. Luke’s Hospital.

Born:  November 3, 1943 in Altoona, he was a son of the late Chester and Martha (Friedhoff) Chamberlin.

Personal:  He and his wife, the former Agnes E. Ross were married 23 years.  He worked at Sam’s Club in Easton and Whitehall.

Memberships:  He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Easton.

Survivors:  wife, Agnes; son, Jamie Ross of Bethlehem Township; brothers, Donald Chamberlin and Ronald Chamberlin; sister, Loretta McGraw.

Services:  Service will be private.  Arrangements by Ashton Funeral Home, Easton.
