Harriet C. Butler, 96, of Easton passed away, Sunday, June 10, 2012 in Country Meadows, Bethlehem Twp., PA.
Born: April 29, 1916 in Easton she was a daughter of the late Harry and Queenie Stoneback Butler.
Personal: She graduated from Easton High School, Class of 1933 and served as Class Secretary for 70 plus years. A graduate of Churchman Business College, she worked at Continental Motors and then became Executive Secretary to the President of Easton National Bank. Harriet was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed traveling.
Memberships: She had been a member of Eastern Star, Chapter #214, Women’s Club of Easton, and was active in community groups, service organizations and Christ Lutheran Church, Easton.
Survivors: A sister: Mildred Fenner in Bethlehem Twp.; nephew: Gary Fenner and his wife Suzanne; grandnephew Michael Fenner; grandnieces: Allyson Mich and her husband Richard; Andrea Fenner and her husband Tim Borror; dear friends and neighbors. She was predeceased by her parents; brother-in-law: Conway Fenner; longtime companion: George Betts; and many friends.
Services: A Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m. Friday (6/15) in the Ashton Funeral Home, 14th and Northampton Sts., Easton, with a calling period from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Interment will be in Easton Heights Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions: May be made to a charity of choice.
