Bernice Supinski

Bernice Supinski, 85, of Bath died unexpectedly, Thursday, December 27, 2012.

Born: April 9, 1927 in Wilkes-Barre, PA she was a daughter of the late Peter and Kathryn Cole Stesney.

Personal: She had been employed by Pioneer Sportswear in Stockertown for several years.

Memberships: She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Bath.

Survivors: Two sons: Gregory and his wife Stephanie of Palmer Twp.; Steven and his wife Noreen of Forks Twp.; a daughter: Kathryn Billmyer and her husband Warren of Hedgesville, W.VA; two sisters: Pamela Hanley of Baltimore, MD; Jo Dale of Harvey’s Lake, PA; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and long-time friend: Lydia Gregory with whom she resided. She was predeceased by her husband: Henry Supinski; granddaughter: Colleen Supinski; siblings: Kathryn Griffis; Carl Stesney and Peter Stesney who also died Dec. 27th.

Services: A Funeral Mass will be held  11 a.m. Friday (1/4) in Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 117 Washington St., Bath, PA. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling the arrangements. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine.

Jacqueline G. Miller

Jacqueline G. Miller, 86, of Palmer Twp., died Wednesday, December 26, 2012 in Gracedale.

Born: October 18, 1926 in Easton she was a daughter of the late Layton and Madeline Hinkle Everhart. She was predeceased by her husband Charles R. Miller, Jr.

Survivors: 2 sons: David L. Miller of New York; Charles R. Miller, III of Palmer Twp.; daughter: Donna L. Bruch of Easton; sister: Gloria Bolmer of Palmer Twp.; 5 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services: Will be private. The Ashton Funeral Home, 14th and Northampton Sts., Easton is handling the arrangements. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine.

Rafael Santiago

Rafael Santiago, 93, of Easton died Sunday, December 23, 2012 in Easton Nursing Center.

Born: October 29, 1919 in Puerto Rico he was a son of the late Sotero Santiago and Marcella Sanchez.

Personal: He was of the catholic faith and had been a hospital elevator operator.

Survivors: Children.

Anne L. Kline

December 23, 2012

Anne L. Kline, 96, of East Bangor, died Sunday, December 23, 2012 in Gracedale.

Born: February 26, 1916 in Easton she was a daughter of the late Vito and Colegero Salvaggio Dibilio.

Personal: She had been employed by Strongwear Pants and A & H Sportswear for many years.

Memberships: She was a member of Arndt’s Lutheran Church, Forks Twp.

Survivors: 3 daughters: Charleen Kline of East Bangor; Phyllis Kline in Texas; Gerry Strouse of Palmer Twp.;  son: Bart Kline of Springtown, PA; sister: Mary Smith in NJ; and 3 grandchildren: Vicki Clark, Dan Schriner and Chris Kline. She was predeceased by her husband: Henry Kline, Sr. in 1972, her son: Henry Kline, Jr. in 1993 and 5 brothers and 3 sisters.

Lawrence J. O’Toole, Jr.

Lawrence J. O’Toole, Jr., 79, of Bethlehem, formerly of W. Easton died Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at St. Luke’s Hospital.

Born: May 25, 1933 in Easton he was a son of the late Lawrence and Olive Haydt O’Toole, Sr.

Personal: He graduated with the Wilson HS Class of 1955 and loved trains, music and roller skating.

Memberships: He was a former member of the W. Easton Fire Co.

Survivors: 2 brothers: John of Wind Gap; Thomas of Palmer Twp.; 3 sisters: Maureen Finken of Wilson Boro; Nancy Stump of Pen Argyl; Elizabeth Eckhart of Nazareth; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Patrick.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday (12/22) in the Ashton Funeral Home, 14th and Northampton Sts., Easton, with a calling period from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Easton Cemetery

Joan Sher Kerbel

Joan Sher Kerbel, 75, of Easton died Tuesday, December 18, 2012 in her home.

Born: April 19, 1937 in Easton she was a daughter of the late Jack and Ruth Bugen Sher.

Personal: She was a graduate of Easton High School and the Albert Einstein Medical Center School of Nursing and had been employed as a Registered Nurse at Easton Hospital and Eastwood Convalescent Center in Wilson for many years before retiring.

Memberships: She was a member of the B′nai Abraham Synagogue, Wilson and active with the Leisure Club and Bridge Club. She also enjoyed going on cruises.

Survivors: Two sons: Howard M. Kerbel and his wife Beth Fuqua of Montclair, NJ; David B. Kerbel and his wife Susan Getz Kerbel of Columbia, MD; and three grandchildren: Kate, Jeffrey and Griffin Kerbel. She was predeceased by a daughter Lorraine in 1991 and a sister Doris Novick.

Mary Jane Hawk

December 17, 2012

Mary Jane Hawk, 68, of Bethlehem,  formerly of Easton, passed away peacefully Monday, December 17, 2012 in ManorCare, Palmer Twp. surrounded by her husband and loving friends.

Born: October 29, 1944 in Easton she was a daughter of the late Louis and Theresa Leanza Curto.

Personal: A 1963 graduate of Notre Dame HS, she worked as a hair dresser at Orr’s of Easton, the Imperial Coiffures, Rene’s and 42 N. 2nd Street. After receiving her para-legal certificate, she worked for Catholic Social Services  and the Hunterdon Developmental Center in Clinton.  Mary Jane loved cooking with her husband for family and friends and just celebrated her 38th wedding anniversary.

Survivors: Her loving husband: Kirk W. Hawk; brother: Vincent and his wife Pamela in FL; brother and sisters-in-law: Rebecca Hawk, Barbara Tipton; Douglas Hawk all in TN; and her chosen family of close friends: Joe M., George, Jack, Stu, Sisty, Joe G., Ronnie and Eileen, plus many more friends and associates.

Services: A Memorial Service will be held, Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton, with a calling period from 6 to 6:30 p.m.

Anna E. Gerspach

Anna E. Gerspach, 90, of Palmer Township died Monday, December 17, 2012 in her home.

Born:  January 22, 1922 in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Rodney and Martha (Kessler) Holden.

Personal:  Her husband, John E. Gerspach died in 1998. She worked at Binney and Smith, Easton.

Survivors:  Anna was the loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother of two daughters, Louise Durand and her fiancé, Lloyd and Martha Willis and her husband, Mark; two sons, Michael Genua and his wife, Debbie and Bernard Genua, Jr.; five grandchildren and a great granddaughter.

Services:  Services will be private.  The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling the arrangements.
