Eleanor McHale, 72, formerly of Forks Township, died Thursday, August 8, 2024 in Puyallup, Washington. Born January 18, 1952 in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Helen (Pollice) Prott. Her husband, Paul T. McHale died in 2000. Eleanor worked at Lafayette College for 30 years and retired in 2018.

Surviving are two sons, Paul J. McHale and Anthony R. McHale; and two sisters, Lorraine Malbaurn and Diane Munson.

Rona P. Esparza, 65, of Phillipsburg, died Tuesday, August 6, 2024 in her home. Born December 15, 1958 in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Isadore and Shirley (Rothkopf) Panchuck. She and her husband, George M. Esparza, owned Armadillo- Aire Productions. She attended Tulane University and was a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin. Rona was a member of the American Symphony Orchestra League.

Surviving with her husband, George, are her son Joshua Esparza and her sister, Barbara Cannon.

Floyd “Chuck” Givler, Jr., 85, formerly of Forks Township, died Monday, August 5, 2024 in Phoebe Home, Richlandtown. Born November 2, 1938 in Allentown, he was the son of the late Floyd Givler, Sr. and Isabel (Derr) Givler. He was a high school social studies teacher at Belvidere High School for over 35 years until retiring in 1996. He was also the Motor Sports Editor for the Express-Times. He was a graduate of William Allen High School and Kutztown University and received two master’s degrees from Lehigh University. He was a member of Forks United Church of Christ, Stockertown and a member of the Independence Townhomes HOA, Forks Township. Chuck was a basketball official with the Easton Chapter of the PIAA and he was the union president of the Belvidere Education Association and the Warren County Education Association. He coached the boys and girls basketball teams and the girls softball team at Belvidere High School and was the supervisor of the high school Mock Trial team. Chuck was also a volunteer coach for the Forks Township Basketball Association.

Surviving are a son, David Givler and his wife, Kathy of Washington, NJ; a daughter, Brenda Givler and her husband, Russell Roth of Coopersburg; a brother, Thomas Givler; three grandchildren, three great grandchildren; and a nephew, Thomas Givler, Jr. He was predeceased by a sister, Doris Givler and his fiance’ Joanne Slaboden.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, August 12, 2024 in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton. A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 11, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in the funeral home. Norma Luciano, 67 of Easton, PA died Monday, August 5, 2024 at home. Born September 11, 1956 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of the late Maria Perez and Herman Luciano. She was a graduate of John Jay High School and devoted parishioner of St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church in Long Island, NY.

She is survived by her daughter: Jeanice Bartley with whom she resided; 2 sons: Prudencio and Louis Aviles; 5 brothers and sisters: Ricardo, Herman, Gladys, Elizabeth, and Maria Luciano; 11 grandchildren: Tiffany, Robert, Katelyn, Keith, Angelica, Isaiah, Unique, Donyashia, Liliana, Louis and Layla; and 6 great-grandchildren: Marcell, Aiden, Anylah, Madison, Alana and Arron. Her longtime companion, Thomas Miller predeceased her.

Robert A. “Bob” Courtright, Jr., 59 of Phillipsburg, NJ died Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Warren Campus. Born December 29, 1964 in Easton, PA he was a son of the late Robert Courtright, Sr. and Mary Lou (Harlan) Wollman. He was a 1983 graduate of Easton High School and earned Certifications as a welder and an auto mechanic. His wife, Stephanie (Phillips) Courtright died in 2019. He had been employed by Bi-State Construction in Tatamy. Bob was a member of the Welders Union and former member of Palmer Moravian Church. He also loved collecting childhood memorabilia, antiques and St. Bernard dogs.

He is survived by his daughter: Alexis Courtright of Macungie, PA; stepdaughter: Elyssa Davis of Wilson Borough; his sister: Sue Gannon (husband Tim) of Palmer Twp.; his brother: Jim Wollman (wife Felicia) of Easton; nieces and nephew: Krista, Kelsi, Justine and James.

A memorial service will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday (August 7) in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton, PA with a calling period from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Roslyne B. Smolow, 97, of Palmer Township, died Monday, July 29 2024 in Moravian Hall Square. Born March 3, 1927 in Easton, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Rose (Share) Bugen. Her husband, William J. Smolow died in 2013. She was an elementary school teacher in the Easton Area School District, retiring in 1988. Roslyne was a member of Congregation Bnai Shalom, Easton. She was a member of the Lehigh Valley Bridge Association and had a Life Master ranking in the American Contract Bridge League. She was also a former member of Northampton Country Club.

Surviving are two sons, Mitchell Smolow and his wife, Donna, of Shavertown, PA and Mark Smolow of Nazareth; six grandchildren; and six great granddaughters. She was predeceased by two brothers and three sisters.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 in Bnai Shalom synagogue, 1545 Bushkill St., Easton. Interment will be in Bnai Abraham Cemetery, Forks Township. Mark A. Rosenkranz, Sr. 60 of Wilson Borough, PA died at home Friday, July 19, 2024 surrounded by his family and loved ones. Born December 14, 1963 in Easton, PA he was a son of the late Marie (Bealer) and Albert Rosenkranz. He had been employed by the former Dixie Cup Co. for many years. An avid fisherman, Mark was a life member of the Bass Anglers Sportsman’s Society and a former member of the Wilson Boro Lions Club. He was also a vice president of the Wilson Summer Swim Team where he was a very active volunteer.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years Cindy (Frank) Rosenkranz; his children, son: Mark A. Rosenkranz, Jr. of Wilson Borough and daughter: Melissa Rosenkranz Weaver and her wife Jill of Williams Twp., PA; a brother and a sister.

Roxanne Marie Henderson, 73 of Easton, PA died Thursday, July 18, 2024 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill surrounded by her loving friends. Born April 2, 1951 in Easton, she was the daughter of the late Edwin Henderson and Colleen (O’Brien) Bednar. She was a 1969 graduate of Wilson High School and a local Art School. She had been employed by the Lester Pfeffer American Legion and The Brick House. She was a member of the Avona Fire Company and Wilson Borough Democratic Club. She was predeceased by her parents, Ed and Colleen; her brother: John Henderson; and her longtime companion: William Dulick.
