Pamela E. Brewer, 64 of Forks Twp., PA died Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Doylestown Hospital. Born March 22, 1958 in Minneapolis, MN she was the daughter of the late Nancy (Clevenger) and William P. Engel. She was a graduate of Bowie High School in Maryland and received her bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina and her master’s degree from James Madison University. She retired as the Associate Dean of Students at Lafayette College after 30 years of employment. Prior to that she was employed by Albright College. Pam was an active member of College Hill Presbyterian Church where she served as an Elder, Deacon, participated in the Choir and Bible Study group, and volunteered for meals on wheels. She was also a member of the Northampton Country Club and their marketing and member services committee. She loved her family, her friends, trips to the beach, yoga, art and time with her grandchildren.

Pam is survived by her husband of 39 years, Lloyd G. Brewer; 2 children: Jason L Brewer (Caroline) of Doylestown, PA, Amy Beachy (David) of Harleysville, PA; and 5 grandchildren: Jack, Nora, Allison, Brandon and Maclin.

A Memorial Service will be held 1PM Friday, May 13th at Colton Chapel, Lafayette College, Easton with a calling period from noon to 1 PM. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling arrangements.

Denna Perfetti, 82 of Forks Twp., PA died Thursday, April 21, 2022 at home. Born October 24, 1939 in East Stroudsburg, PA she was a daughter of the late Denton and Fern (Andress) Fredrick. She was a graduate of East Stroudsburg High School and East Stroudsburg University. She taught biology, anatomy and physiology at the E. Stroudsburg High School for more than 30 years before retiring. Denna loved taking statistics for the High School Women’s Basketball team and following retirement she enjoyed tutoring students.

She is survived by her son David R. Perfetti (Janet Eardley) of Forks Twp., PA; sisters: Dawn Kohl and Deborah Nauman and 2 granddaughters: Emily and Elizabeth. Her husband Robert D. Perfetti died earlier.

James E. Woodley, 94, of Palmer Twp., PA died Thursday, April 21, 2022. Born June 3, 1927 in East Bangor, PA he was the son of the late Alma (Masters) and Earl J. Woodley. His wife, the former Jeannette Kinginger, died in 2009. He was a 1945 graduate of Bangor High School and enlisted in the Navy in January 1945 to serve in WWII. Upon honorable discharge from the Navy, Jim graduated from Bradley University in Peoria, IL where he was a Charter member of the Illinois Delta Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon. He was employed by Bethlehem Steel from 1950 to 1960 in the Treasury Department and went on to study at the New York Institute of Finance. He became a stockbroker at W.E. Hutton & Co., members of the New York Stock Exchange, in Easton and later became the manager. After 47 years as a stockbroker, Jim retired from Ryan Beck & Co. Jim was a member of East Bangor United Methodist Church and attended College Hill Presbyterian Church, Easton. He was a former member of the Palmer Township Planning Commission and member of the Kiwanis Club of Palmer Twp.; The Pomfret Club; the American Legion, Brown and Lynch Post; and Secretary/Treasurer of the Board of The Historic Easton Cemetery.

He is survived by three children: Susan Woodley Cook (husband Glen) of Union Bridge, MD, Beth Woodley Riley (husband Bruce) of Laytonsville, MD, James E. Woodley, Jr. of St. Petersburg, FL; and three grandchildren: Savannah and Spencer Cook and Peyton Riley. He was predeceased by his wife, Jeannette, his brother George M. Woodley and sister Ann Marie Eyer.

Services are 11 AM Wednesday, April 27 at College Hill Presbyterian Church, 501 Brodhead St., Easton followed by interment with military honors at The Historic Easton Cemetery. A calling period will be held from 6 to 7:30 PM Tuesday in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton.

Christopher M. Reed, 36 of Bethlehem, PA died and went home to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, April 20, 2022. Born August 16, 1985 in Allentown, PA he was a son of Kathryn (Shute) Reed of Bethlehem and Gregory R. Reed, who died last year. Christopher was a graduate of Salisbury High School where he played baseball. He was a member of the New Covenant Christian Community Church of Bethlehem and former member of Ebenezer Bible Fellowship, Bethlehem, and Fellowship Church, Phillipsburg, NJ. He also volunteered at the Trinity Episcopal Church Soup Kitchen.

He is survived by his mother, Kathryn; two brothers: Douglas of Bethlehem, Jason (wife Erin) of Leola, PA; sister: Jessica Reed (husband Caleb) of Denver, CO; and two nieces: Emma and Hannah.

A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Fellowship Church, 300 Cromwell St., Phillipsburg, NJ with a luncheon to follow. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling arrangements.

Frederick K. “Rick” Loomis, Jr., 78, of Plainfield Township, died Sunday, April 17, 2022 in Gracedale. Born November 28, 1943 in Beverly, Mass., he was a son of the late Frederick K. and Dorothy (Leu) Loomis. He and his wife, Rita (Romano) Loomis were married 59 years. Rick was the executive director of the Nazareth YMCA until retiring. Prior to that he was the director of the Bethlehem YMCA, the Gloucester, Mass. YMCA and the Middletown, Conn. YMCA. After retiring he worked for Clean Water Action and PA State Representative Karen Beyer. Rick received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Springfield College, Springfield, Mass. He was a life member of AMA, a member of ABATE and a member of St. Luke’s U.C.C., Belfast. For many years he organized the Rolling Thunder Toy Run. He was also a musician, playing guitar and singing with various bands from college throughout his adult life.

Surviving with his wife, Rita are his daughter, Bonnie E. Loomis-Koch and her husband Steven of Nazareth; a brother, David Loomis; a sister, Barbara Zelechoski; and three grandchildren, Dakota, Mason and Kara. His son, F. Kimball Loomis, III died earlier.

Services are 11 AM Thursday, April 28 at St. Luke’s United Church of Christ, 471 Belfast Rd., Nazareth with a calling period from 10 to 11 AM in the church. Rose A. “Sis” Van Vliet, 94, of Williams Township, died Wednesday, April 13, 2022 in her home. Born October 16, 1927 in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Rose (Rumore) March. Her husband, Richard L. Van Vliet died in 1996.

Surviving are her daughters, Robin R. Hess and her husband, Jake and Rhonda L. Broadhead and her husband, Rich; a son, Richard L. Van Vliet and his wife, Donna; two sisters, Pauline LaLonde and Nina Troutman; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Her son, Randy M. Van Vliet; three brothers, Phil, Roland and Joseph March; and a sister, Mary Louise Gold died earlier.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, April 16, 2022 in Northampton Memorial Shrine, 3051 Green Pond Rd., Palmer Township. Terri Jaworowski, 62, of Bethlehem Township, died Sunday, April 3, 2022 at Gracedale. Born April 16, 1959 in Phillipsburg, she was the daughter of Glen Keim and the late Carolyn (Andrews) Keim.

Surviving in addition to her father are her husband, Gary Stevens; her children, Chelsea Jaworowski, Shaylyn Jaworowski, and Tara Jensen; and three grandchildren. Her brother, Kenneth Keim died earlier.
