Cheryl Wirth, 81, of Easton, died Sunday, August 31, 2025 in St. Luke’s Hospital. She was born in Allentown on November 24, 1943. He husband, Lloyd Everitt died earlier.

She is survived by her niece, Sandy Jago of Easton.

Ellen "Judy" Brown

Ellen “Judy” Brown, 89 of Bethlehem Twp., PA died Sunday, August 31, 2025 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. Born May 4, 1936 in Easton, PA, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth Slutter and Mary Catherine (Hendershot) Slutter. She was a 1954 graduate of Easton High School and employed by Dixie Cup, Singer Sewing Machine Co., Betty Lee Dress and as a private house cleaner over the years.

She is survived by her children: Catherine Ball (husband Anthony) of Key Largo, FL, William Brown, Jr. (wife Donna) of Bethlehem Twp., PA, Terry Nitchkey (husband Robert) of Forks Twp., PA and Dawn Wagner (husband John) of Easton, PA; a sister: Shirley Guzzo (husband Edward) of Easton; 6 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband: William Brown, Sr. in 2002; and siblings: Kenneth Slutter, Jr. and Kathleen Clause.

Visitation is 4 to 5:30 PM Sunday (Sept. 7) in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton, with a funeral service 10:30 AM Monday (Sept. 8) in the funeral home. Interment is in Farmersville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Lehigh Valley Humane Society or LVHN Heart and Vascular Institute, Muhlenberg. Barbara A. Scheirer

Barbara A. Scheirer, 92, of Wilson Borough, died Saturday, August 30, 2025 in her home. Born February 24, 1933 in Easton, she was the daughter of the late Harry Stem, Sr. and Henrietta (Muller) Stem Wohlbach. Her husband, Frederick G. Scheirer died in 2009. Barbara was a graduate of Wilson High School.

Surviving are two sons, Robert W. Scheirer and his wife, Karen of Bethlehem Township and Bradley K. Scheirer and his wife, Kathleen of Coatesville; a daughter, Victoria A. Farrell and her husband, Michael of Williams Township; two grandchildren, Laura and Andrew; and two great granddaughters, Evelyn and Alina. She was predeceased by her brother, Harry Stem, Jr. and her sister, Joan Garis.

Services will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, September 4, 2025 in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton. Helen M. Lohrman

Helen M. Lohrman, 91 of Palmer Township, PA died Friday, August 29, 2025 at home. Born December 2,1933 in Phillipsburg, NJ she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Gertrude (Roth) Willever. She was a 1951 graduate of Phillipsburg High School and worked with her husband, Lester, at Lohrman’s Drug Store in Wilson Borough, PA until 1980. She was a member of St. John’s Church on Morgan Hill and a 70-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Delaware Chapter #50 but Helen’s greatest joy was her family.

She is survived and adored by her son: Greg D. (wife Kim) of Frankford, DE; grandsons Lucas (wife Nicole) of Bushkill Twp., PA, Heath (wife Aparna) of London, England, Nicholas (wife Kayla) of Williams Twp., PA; 5 great-grandchildren: Madison, Brynn, Ethan, Julian, and Lucille; a brother: William Willever of Oldsmar, FL; sister-in-law: Jean Willever of Milford, NJ; and nephews: Bruce, Dale and Gary Willever. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years, Lester V. Lohrman in 2018; her daughter: Karen A. Lohrman in 2014; and her brother: Richard Willever in 2000.

In accordance with her wishes, a private service will be held at the convenience of the family. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling arrangements. Interment is in Northampton Memorial Shrine. Salvatore ‘Sal’ Anthony LoCicero

Beloved husband and father Salvatore ‘Sal’ Anthony LoCicero, second son of the late Benedetto and Rosina LoCicero, passed away peacefully in his College Hill home at the age of 83 on 28 August. A venerable, kind and loving man known for his generosity, he experienced a long and successful career in corporate banking before retiring in 2012. He also had a lifelong interest in antique firearms, his collection consisting of an eclectic mix of fine American and foreign made examples some of which won competitive display awards.

A United States Army veteran stationed in the former Federal Republic of Germany at the height of the Cold War, Sal was always there for his sons whether it was help with a school project, driving lessons, sage financial advice or wholehearted support to pursue an advanced degree overseas.

Salvatore is survived by Eileen, his wife of sixty-four years; sons Michael and Scott, daughters-in-law Elena Claudia and Kristin, granddaughter Francesca Eileen; only sister Rosalie Marcozzi; nephew and niece Mario Marcozzi and Marisa Mecchi, their spouses Lynn and Ray; brother Joseph LoCicero and his wife Gayle; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Stephen and Sylvia DeRea, John and Gail DeRea, nieces Andrea Helfrich and spouse Chad, Lori Kolb and spouse Chris, and four great nephews.

Todd Bateman, 57, of Wilson Borough, died Sunday, August 24, 2025 in his home. Born July 5, 1968 in Easton, he was the son of Florence (Schaffer) Bateman and the late George Bateman. Todd worked for Rapp Bros. Pallet, Easton and was an avid football fan and Eagles fan.

Surviving with his mother, Florence, are his daughter, Melissa Powell; two sisters, Linda Newton and her husband, Steve Newton, Sr. and Lisa Becker; a brother, Mark Bateman; nieces and nephews, Heather, Lilly, Cameron, Dylan, Rebecca, Robert, Natalia, RJ, Stephanie, Aleczander and Josh; step-nephew, Steve, Jr; and a granddaughter, Adrianyna. He was predeceased by his brother, Gary Bateman.

Robert Anthony Dezzi

Robert Dezzi

Robert A. Dezzi, 51 of Bangor, PA died Sunday, August 24, 2025 at home. Born June 9, 1974 in Easton, PA he was a son of the late Michael Dezzi and Louise (Rupp) and Leroy Feflie. He attended Easton High School and was employed by Bethlehem Precast and Engleman’s Construction for 30 years. Bob had a passion for cooking, especially grilling and smoking meat. He loved football and was an avid Raiders fan. He also enjoyed fishing and the fishing trips he took with his cousins, Richie and Kenny, and close friends up north.

Bob is survived by his wife: Marie (Hendershot) Dezzi; a daughter: Eva; stepsons: Brayden and Buddy; a sister: Jennifer Melendez; 2 granddaughters: Luna and Stella; and his aunt and uncle: Betty and David Goodman.

Marie Bassett

Marie R. Bassett, 96 of Easton, PA died Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Bethlehem South Nursing and Rehab Center, Bethlehem, PA. Born September 11, 1928 in Allentown, PA she was a daughter of the late Robert and Lillian (Scheirer) Boyer. Her husband Harry Bassett died in 2001. She and her husband had owned and operated Bassett Cleaners on College Hill Easton for many years. She was a member of Emmanuel Ev. Congregational Church, Bethlehem and volunteered at Easton Hospital, St. Luke’s Hospital and for the American Red Cross.

She is survived by her son: Richard Bassett (wife Deborah) of North Port, FL; 3 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter. She was predeceased by her husband: Harry; her daughter: Jennifer Bassett; and siblings: Paul Boyer, Doris Kline and Ameda Good.

Visitation will be held 10 to 11 AM Wednesday (Aug. 27) in Emmanuel Ev. Cong. Church, 75 E. Union Blvd., Bethlehem, with a service at 11 AM.
