I had the pleasure of sharing a lunch table with Pete for many years at Benjamin Moore, and always loved listening to his stories and hearing his laugh, which I can still hear in my head. Pete brought joy to my life and so many others, which I suppose is the greatest legacy one can leave. God bless you Pete!

Pete will be truly missed by all that knew him … we remember his good nature, kindness and sense of humor that gave us all smiles.
I had the great pleasure in our younger years to spend time creating lasting memories like hiking to the top of Mt Washington, camping in the Blue Ridge Mountains and White Water rafting along the Lehigh River… also can’t forget the great times playing with him on the Benjamin Moore softball teams!
My sincere condolences to Marie and all of the family. May your happy memories give you peace and comfort during this challenging time.
May you now rest in peace my good friend.

Everyone who knew Pete, knew how” special” he was. I miss him already. I can’t begin to imagine a Benjamin Moore gathering without him.
No one, whose privilege it was to know him, is likely to forget his beaming personality and their unique friendship with him.
Pete was a “people person” who brought all of us together. He has enriched our lives. I feel so lucky to have been blessed with his friendship. The memories we shared I will hold on tightly, because a true friend lives on in the memories of those who loved them.
God bless my friend; heaven gained an angel when you left us.
Keep them smiling
.
Marie, Thinking of you, Luke, Dane, and all the LaMontia family at this
difficult time. Sending all my love, hugs and prayers.
God bless you, Audrey ❤🙏

Sharing virtual hugs to his family. He was such a wonderful man – loved working with him at Benjamin Moore. Not a bad bone in his body. I remember his wit and caring for everyone no matter who you were. He was a gem. I am grateful he was a person that I passed through in my life.

We all know that Pete was one of the truly, genuine good guys. Always ready to welcome someone new into the BM & Co “family”. Always ready with a smile, some much needed laughter, or a story…a true friend to all.
And how many times I would be leaving work at the end of the day and pass by Pete in his shorts ready to go out on a run. And that is exactly what I imagine him doing now.
My deepest sympathy to Marie and the entire LaMontia family. Peace and prayers to you all.

I started my career at Benjamin Moore in January 1979. I met Pete on my first day and he was never without a smile and a kind word. I always enjoyed seeing him at the 25 Year Club Dinners.
We would talk family, travel, running amongst over topics. He was a true friend and a gentleman.
Even though I hadn’t seen him in years I feel a terrible loss.
Many times when people pass someone says, “He was the nicest person you’d ever meet”.
It’s my turn to say that about Pete.

Always enjoyed doing business with Pete, and later enjoyed his friendship with inviting him to the golf fundraisers for my sons’s Foundation, The Stephen S . Martino Memorial Foundation. It was always a pleasure to meet him for lunch where he traveled here to my area, the Poconos to reminisce about work and friends. I hope the family finds peace in knowing Pete will always walk spiritually beside you. His earthly loss is Heaven’s gain. God’s peace be with the family.

Uncle Peter was my great uncle, and my godfather. I have so many great memories of him.
When I was 5 we moved from Brooklyn to Long Island, and from that point on, everyone was at our house for the holidays, he was always so happy to spend the holidays with us . Uncle Peter was quiet, but so funny. He was smart and kind and hardworking. The last few years I’ve been texting him a lot and he always loved to get pictures of my kids and grandkids .im so grateful to have all those texts now. Rest in peace Uncle Peter .
