Sundown,It’s Sundown they’ve taken all the tents down where are you,my handsome Pete, Sundown its Sundown this carnival train is leaving town where’ve you gone my darlin Petie. We won’t be dancing together on the highwire, Facing the lions with yah by my side anymore,we won’t be breathing the smoke and the fire ,on the midway,Hanging from the trapeze your wrist waiting on my wrist, two daredevils high up on the wall of death, you throwing the knife it lands only inches from our heart, Sundown. Moon rises, moon rises the light that was in your eyes is gone away, day break day breaking the things in you that had made you ache have gone still. We’ll be riding the train without you here tonight, the train that keeps on moving you’ll see its black smoke scorching the evening sky. Million stars shining above us like every soul living and gone, that’s been gathered together by GOD sing a hymn over your bones. Sundown , it’s sundown empty are the fairgrounds, where yah now our handsome cousin,? Always had greatest times together, I miss you Pete, thinking of you now on the streets paved of gold , like all the promises of God promised to you ,if you truly but believe I see u among loved ones who’ve gone before you, Healing Now Brother, Healing and Whole. Deepest Sympathy ,to you Jeff and Erin. ,like the ole folks say sayla Vee,you just never can tell, do for those when you can, our tomarrow is never guarentteed . Amen to You I say,A-men
