Mr Andrews was my algebra teacher at Freedom HS. And now even in my later 60’s. I can still remember his encouraging teacher style that helped we students to succeed in math. Having spent my career in education, I realize how special good teachers are in shaping our lives. Please accept my condolences and know his legacy lives in the lives of the people he encoraged.

Carol and family, our hearts are broken. Twenty plus years ago when we bought our home on Pine Grove Drive we were blessed. You welcomed us into the neighborhood and quickly became beloved friends to our family. Dick, I will forever miss our conversations about high school and college football and especially your love of Penn St. Thank you for tutoring our son in math and sharing so much goodness with our children when they were young. Carol may God give you, Lori and Glenn, Marci, Brad and Samantha peace through this difficult time. Our love to you all,

I am sending my deepest condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Andrews. I was his student for several classes beginning at Northeast and finally at Freedom. He was a remarkable man and an exceptional teacher. He taught his students to think through mathematical processes rather than memorize. I am grateful to this day and still try to exhibit his patience while instilling these same skills in my students.

Dear Mrs. Andrews, Lori and Marci,
I am so sorry for the loss of Mr. Andrews and extend my deepest sympathy to you and all of your family.
I consider myself fortunate to have grown up as your neighbor and to have been able to meet not only my friends, Lori and Marci, but also their very nice parents. I remember Mr. Andrews always being very pleasant to be around. I remember when he was young and working hard doing construction in the summer season when school was out. I remember he would tease me about my blue nail polish and ask if I didn’t have enough oxygen because my nails were turning blue. Most importantly, I knew him to be a good dad and loved very much by his children to whom he must have passed down his athletic genes! I believe he and Mrs. Andrews were high school sweethearts; they made such a lovely couple. I am praying for you during this difficult time and hope your warm and happy memories will help to comfort you.
