Russell J. Redfern Sr., 89, of Williams Township, PA passed away Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Gardens of Easton Memory Care.
Born September 9, 1931 in Easton, PA, he was a son of the late Nelson C. and Marie (Keiser) Redfern.
Russell graduated from Easton High School Class of 1949. He was an apprentice for three years with Local 375 Electrical Workers Union.
He retired from Local 375 Electrical Workers Union as an electrician in 1995.
Russell served in the US Army during the Korean War. Russell enjoyed going to square dances with his late wife June Redfern. They were married for 41 years. He also enjoyed playing his organ and mall walking with his friends.
Surviving family members are his son Russell Redfern Jr and his wife Jael of Easton, PA, granddaughter Savannah Redfern, sister-in-law, Joan Redfern, nieces Susan Rushin and Marti Lepri, nephews, James Redfern, and Thomas Redfern. He was predeceased by his sister, Marie (Redfern) Eyer and his brother Nelson Redfern.
Services will be private. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling the arrangements.

I grew up living next to Mr & Mrs Redfern. He was a kind and gentle man. So sad to read of his death. I am grateful for the wonderful memories I have of those days long ago. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. In loving memory. Michelle DiChiara (Missy Mease).
