After working together by phone we decided to meet in person outside of the Whitehall Mall movie theater. As I remember we each wore a flower in our hair. That was 1969. Through many years, adventures, late night chats and smiles our friendship continued. Last week I sent her a copy of a poem she wrote titled Miracles, she was shocked I still had it and chuckled. Through all her challenges she faced in life she left the world better than she found it. My prayers surround you Linda and her family during these very difficult times. Sharon will never be forgotten by us.

To Linda and Michael and to all the people Sharon touched during her lifetime, my thoughts are with you now, at this saddest moment ever. Though we only knew each other three years, we had a great friendship, one that I will miss more than anyone could possibly imagine. I grieve for our loss, yours and mine, but I praise the Lord for restoring Sharon to more healthy state. Breathe easy my dear friend, and walk proud as you look down on all the people you touched. Goodbye until we meet again One fine Day.

Sharon and I became friends in the early 1980s when we worked at Lehr together. She was a strong and competent woman, especially after the tragedy of Lee passing so young. Even though we became separated by distance, we remained friends and connected through mail, calls, and Facebook in later years. In my son’s troubled youth, she reached out to him and they connected through their mutual love and passion for music. She will always be blessed for that connection with him. May her memory be a blessing to all who knew her, as I know it will be for me. Linda, you have my very deepest condolences.

I am so saddened to hear of Sharon’s passing. She was a big part of my childhood and adulthood in Big Bear. I remember being in awe of how beautiful Bethlehem was the first time we visited Sharon at her home there. Sharon inspired me to craft and encouraged my love of music, particularly guitar. My parents had a great friendship with her that spanned many decades. Sharon was sweet, kind, funny and a wonderful person to chat with for hours about anything. She watched me grow from a 10 year old into having my own boys, whom she enthusiastically cuddled. Sending love and hugs to the family from Brooklyn, New York and the Poconos, Pennsylvania.

Sharon was a good friend to all, and I considered her my best friend since high school. We sang together, she played piano, organ and guitar, she composed songs and poems – there was no end to her creativity. She was my maid of honor in my wedding and I sang for her wedding. We would talk for hours about our joys and sorrows. I will miss her forever, but I will see you soon, because of the grace of God.

Sharon was my first supervisor at Selective, and she’s one of the kindest people I’ve ever encountered. Through all her difficulties, I admired how she always had a calm, quiet dignity about her. She was a wonderful mentor. I’m a better person for having known her. Boss-lady, you’ll be missed!
