Shirley M. Heil

Shirley M. Heil, 92 formerly of Palmer Twp., PA died Friday, February 19, 2021 at Moravian Hall Square, Nazareth, PA. Born June 30, 1928 in East Stroudsburg, PA she was a daughter of the late Myrtle (Mader) and Percy Marvin. A graduate of Churchman’s Business College, she had been employed by the State of PA at the Bureau of Employment Security in Easton for more than 20 years before retiring. Shirley was a member of Palmer Moravian Church, Palmer Twp. where she served as a Sacristan. She was also a member of Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 214 and Cedarettes, Easton Forest #35.

She is survived by her children: Sally A. Horne (companion Ed Henry) of Portland, OR, Timothy C. Heil (fiancé Amber) of Palmer Twp., Anne Fritts (husband John) of York, PA; grandchildren: Jennifer Heil, Jeffrey Horne (Nicole), Kevin Heil (Susan), Bradley Horne (Kari), Kelcie Fritts Hartman (Justin), Allison Fritts Zechman (John), Aubrie Kocher (Ryan); and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband: Charles H. Heil in 2007 and siblings: Marjorie Hunt and Willard Marvin.

A Graveside Service will be held 11:30 AM, Friday, Feb. 26 at Northampton Memorial Shrine, 3051 Green Pond Rd., Easton with visitation 10 to 11 AM in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton.

    Our prayers go out to Shirley’s family. I was in the Cedarettes with Shirley. She was a loving and caring person. I will remember her for her sense of humor, especially when we were the the Tall Cedar Conventions.

    I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. Sally and I were good friends growing up. I spent many happy times at their house. I want you to know how special you are all. I am sure your mom is all proud of you
