Suzanne was a kind, generous friend and mentor to me in real estate and in life. She was a gentle powerhouse, full of grace and laughter, always supportive and encouraging. I will remember her as seeking to live life to the fullest, having crowded jazz events in her trendy 5th floor walk up loft in Tribeca, co- founding with me & Karen the Downtown Entrepreneurial Women’s group that became such a life-changing, empowering group, her befriending customers who then became lifelong friends, and ever loyally prioritizing her wonderful family. Our office was full of part timers (like me), many international, whose outside hours were spent in filmmaking, painting, modeling, singing, acting, doing photography, archeology, and writing. She attracted and supported all those artist with her own creative soul! She epitomized and embodied elegant New York City living to the fullest! I will never forget her – she is already missed. I give Tom and Karen and Chip and the whole family my heartfelt condolences. RIP Suzanne! I know your lovely voice is now lighting up the halls of Heaven. 💜

Suzanne was our neighbor for 15 years, she was our friend and she sold us our apartment. When we met her, she told us she had started to sing jazz. I love that Suzanne continued to do new things through her entire life. She walked up five flights of stairs for most of her life in New York City. She was tough as they come, along with generous and all smiles. We will miss her dearly.

I loved Suzanne so much. She was such a cool and dynamic person. She cared so much for her family and I know they will miss her very much. I loved following her on her musical journey of learning to sing jazz standards. I know it made her very happy to sing. Her parties were always filled with very interesting people- just like her.
I will miss her.

We loved Suzanne from the moment we were introduced to her as Justin’s grandma. So warm, so friendly, so indomitable — so interested in art, culture, travel—people!! we are sorry we can’t be with you on Thursday but will be thinking of all of you and of her most of all. Will never forget her singing “Over the Rainbow” at Elina and Justin’s wedding. Sending love

Suzanne’s presence in this world was profound with her exuberance and expressed passion and devotion to her family, her business, music and so much more. She was and is truly an inspiration. She had a strong influence on everyone around her. And those 5 flights of steps till age 91!! Wow!! So many memories and stories about Suzanne. May Karen, Chip and Jim, Justin (and other Gkids) and Tom, Suzanne’s devoted husband be surrounded in support and love at this time…. and may Suzanne’s soul rest in peace….

We are sending our deepest condolences to Tom and the rest of Suzanne’s family. We met Suzanne almost eight years ago when we became neighbors. Suzanne immediately impressed us by her kindness and thoughtfulness. She was not only an inspiring businesswoman who could answer any real-estate question but also a wise and generous person. We will miss our conversations on the stairwell and Suzanne’s warmth and her infectious smile. May Suzanne rest in peace.

Suzanne, I will miss you so. You were like another mother to me. Always supportive, loving, kind and full of advice. Good advice. Like, “don’t learn how to cook, then other people will want you to cook for them.” And “always live a creative life, in spite of the demands the world puts on you.” Such a bad ass. So vibrantly healthy. So stalwartly giving. You always thought of others, and brought us all along in the wake of your wide, beautiful, fearless stream. Thank you for embracing me. I feel you still, and that the gifts of love and inspiration that you gave me are with me always. And thank you for all the stories.

Oh dear sweet Suzanne! Yes, you truly were a force of nature! Fond memories of us going out to dinner with our sweet husbands and having you over for bigger parties at our place at 153 Chambers…you were tireless and to think at 92 you were still living on the top floor of a walk up building! Probably what got you up into your 90s!
You will be missed… I have always appreciated everytime we ran into one another plus the deals we did together.
Rest peacefully dear one, it’s time… you worked sooo long and hard!
Love, Paddington

I’ve enjoyed witnessing Suzanne’s creative exploits through the social media postings of daughter Karen. Though her physical presence will be missed, I’m grateful that snippets of her beautifully singing for the joy of it can continue to inspire others on how to live fully, bravely, and age gracefully.

We were heartbroken to hear about Suzanne’s passing. She was such a vibrant, inspiring woman—still working and sharing her positive energy even at 92! That kind of spirit is rare, and it left a lasting impression on everyone here at Physiofitness. Our thoughts are with Tom and the rest of her family during this difficult time. Suzanne will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Suzanne was one of the kindest and gentle people I ever had the pleasure of knowing. She always found her way into the hearts of strangers and was never afraid to tell it like it is. She made you believe in yourself and allowed room for grace, with the hopes that even the most problematic of souls could be a better person. I am better for having known her. My heart goes out to her family. She will be missed.
