Thelma J. Happel, 86, formerly of Palmer Township, passed away Monday, July 15, 2013 in St. Luke’s Hospital.
Born: November 11, 1926 in Easton, she was the daughter of the late William and Bertha M. (Good) Johnson.
Personal: Her husband, Vernon F. Happel passed away in 2002. She graduated from Easton High School in 1944 and was employed by the former Easton National Bank.
Memberships: Thelma was a member of Palmer Moravian Church where she proudly served with Vernon on the corps as Head Sacristans. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and neighbors.
Survivors: Two sons, Wayne F. Happel and his wife, Deborah of Wilson Borough and David A. Happel of Nazareth; three granddaughters, Jessica, Luanne and Lauren and three great grandchildren, Mason, Anaiya and Natalie. She was pre-deceased by her sister, Luree.
Services: Services will be private. Interment in Forks Cemetery. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling the arrangements.
