Thomas O. Mason, 54, of Bath died Monday, August 29, 2011 at home.
Born: May 14, 1958 in Easton, he was a son of Mary Louise Rau Morrison of Palmer Twp. and the late Robert L. Mason. His 24th wedding anniversary to the former Melody George was Aug. 29th.
Personal: he attended Girard College in Philadelphia from 1966 to 1973, where he was a member of their soccer team that traveled to London to participate in an international tournament. He graduated from Easton High School in 1976 and was employed by Exclusive Transportation for Industry for the past 22 years. Prior to that he worked in the construction/home building industry. He was a NASCAR enthusiast as well as avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan. Tom always enjoyed spending time with his family, especially at his mother and step-father’s cabin in Kresgeville.
Memberships: He was a member of Olivet United Presbyterian Church, Easton and former member of Holy Family Club, Nazareth. An active member and past –president of the Bath Republican Club, he was also an active member of the Bath Fire Co. Social Club.
Survivors: his mother; his wife; children: Travis O. of Bath, Brittany L. of Philadelphia; 4 brothers: his twin: Timothy and his wife Diane of Bath; Christopher and Lee of Palmer Twp.; Jonathan and his wife Lisa of Tamaqua; sister: Susan Wasser of Wilson Borough; step-sister: Diane Buskirk of E. Stroudsburg; 4 nieces and 7 nephews. He was predeceased by his step-father: Lawrence E. Morrison.
Services: memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday in the church, 1151 Northampton St., Easton with a calling period from 2 to 3 p.m. in the church. The Ashton Funeral Home, 14th and Northampton Streets, Easton is in charge of arrangements. Interment will be private.
Memorials: may be made to the funeral home for Tom’s children’s education.
