Victoria “Vicky” Rosa, 87, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was born and raised in Rochester, NY. In 1960 she married her sweetheart Victor “Bud” Rosa and moved into their new home in Hazlet, NJ where they raised their five children. She worked as a customer service representative for Comcast Cable in the Hazlet office for 16 years retiring in 1998. She was a parishioner at St. Benedict Church, Holmdel, NJ since 1960 where she was involved in many activities. Her favorite was singing at Mass with the Folk Group.
She enjoyed being a member of Sweet Adelines and The Red Hat Society. Vicky volunteered for the Boy and Girls Scouts of Monmouth County and the Hazlet Youth and Athletic League. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Victor “Bud” in 2000; parents Wady and Frances Sarkis; sisters, Shirley Sarkis and Elizabeth Shuhda; brothers, Lee and Joseph Sarkis. She is survived by her five adoring children Catherine (Philip) Vitale, Victor Rosa, James (Deborah) Rosa, Timothy (Gina) Rosa, and Robert Rosa; eleven beautiful grandchildren, Philip (Jordan) and Jennifer Vitale, Victor and Nicole Rosa, Stephanie (Mitchell) Cummings, Tara, Daniel, Brianna Rosa, Amanda, Alexa, Isabella Rosa; and two great grandchildren Charlotte and Carter Cummings; brothers Fred Sarkis, James (Jeannie) Sarkis, and Kenneth (Thomas) Sarkis; sisters Ann Nealon and Deanna O’Connell; and many devoted nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.
Forgoing a traditional wake, Vicky’s wishes were for services to be private. She will never be replaced but will live always in the countless memories she left with us. Vicky had the kindest heart and a gentle soul for every person with whom she encountered. Everyone enjoyed her hospitality, amazing humor, and her devotion to her family, friends, and neighbors. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made the American Heart Association, www.heart.org. Offer online condolences at www.AshtonFuneralHome.com.

Sending my condolences to my wonderful cousins, their spouses and children. We miss Aunt Vicky or SitiVicky as she was known to her family, dearly. She was special to me as she was my godmother. Even with a family full of children, laughter and love, she never forgot my birthday and know how to make me feel special. Looking forward to the spring send-off! Love, your Minnesota cousins, John, Hema, Sarah, Rishabh and Rhea

I met Mom through my very special friend Nancy DiGeronimo. I loved being with Mom when I visited Nancy. We would go to lunch, dinner or whatever we felt like doing. She was so funny. All we did was laugh. I will always treasure knowing her. She was the funniest, sweetest most kindest person I have ever known. I will always think of you and love you. RIP Vicky!😥❤

Siti, you really are like family to me! I’m so blessed to have known you and grateful for the time we spent together. I will miss your presence at the Vitale/Rosa gatherings – you were always loving, funny, spirited and genuine. And I’ll go on believing that, for a moment or two, I was your favorite.

No words can express what you and your family have meant to me. Forever grateful for you opening your door and heart to me. Your sons stood for me at my wedding to Jean and you prayed over the meal we all shared that day. Your kids have all had an impact on who I am today and you will be missed tremendously. Thank you for all the memories and I look forward to doing another cryptoquote with you in Heaven one day. RIP Siti

I am so blessed to have been called family by aunt Vicky. I am grateful that she traveled to Minneapolis for my wedding. My every interaction with her is memorable. She used humor so effectively to convey her views – sharp, strong and unapologetic – the stuff they teach you in business schools. She was so proud of her family. It feels like yesterday that she showed us all the home grown vegetables, eggs and chicken, pictures of her grandchildren and great grandchildren with her own commentary on everything and everyone. If I had her vigor, energy and happy attitude at 87, I would consider my life well lived. Here’s something she told my mom at Kaija’s wedding “I have no worries. I am treated like a queen by my children. I get my favorite drink every day and I go to bed happy.” And when I got up she held my hand and said, “Hema, where are you going? Do you think the bar is still open? Will you top my glass if you are going to top yours?” And I did☺️ She will always be someone that I will remember to emulate and I will miss her tremendously at our reunions. 💕

In 1960 the Hewitts (Ann Jim Kathy Dee) met the Rosas (Vicky Buddy) in the office of Marc Knolls their new development. I was 10 yrs old, when we realized we were going to be next door neighbors! My mom Ann called Vicky her best friend and her “3rd sister”. Vicky was my confirmation sponsor. They remained close friends for the rest her life and Vicky was at Ann’s bedside the week she passed. Kathy and I continued to meet Vicky for lunch during her frequent to Hazlet and were fortunate to visit hr new home with Deb and Jim. I don’t know how she made time for everyone in her life but sh made each of us feel special and loved. Icky was an amazing woman and a beloved person in our lives. We will miss you dear friend. Thank you for the love and especially the laughter you shared with us all. Our hearts go out to all the family. Love Dee and Kathy

Oh, where to start my sweet Victoria Regina….aka…VICKKKKKYYYY my heart is so broken. You were truly one of a kind. There aren’t enough words to express your zest for life, your amazing family unit, and most of all your sense of humor. You made every party, visit a fun-filled never forget experience. I am so blessed to have spoken to you the day you gained your wings for you my dear are an Angel! I have never come across 1 person with an ill word of you. You lived life in the present moment a true gift. To the Rosa clan, Siti Vicky loved you all so much and was so very proud of every one of you! Jimmy & Debbie, Vicky spent her last years LOVING her home with you, the garden, get-togethers all of it. Thank you all for being so wonderful! I will always hear “You’re a RIOT” as long as I live. She is irreplaceable, but will live on in every single person she met along her journey of life! She would not want us to be in sorrow but to CELEBRATE a FULL, WELL LIVED, AMAZING life she led.
