Dearest brother, you will be missed by so many. But God had His plan for you: you were doing God’s work, in God’s house, on God’s day, when He called you Home. Auf wiedersehen! We love you, forever.

Thou, redeemed from pain
Shall sleep the sleep that kings desire in vain:
Not thine the sense of loss
But lo, for us the void
That never shall be filled again.
Not thine but ours the grief.
All pain is fled from thee.
And we are weeping in thy stead;
Tears for the mourners who are left behind
Peace everlasting for the quiet dead.
Lucretius
Farewell Uncle Walt… I’ll always remember your “Ukrainian tomatoes.

Words cannot express how much we will miss Mr. Walt. He was a dedicated and amazing AWANA game director for so many years. We have never attended an AWANA night without him. I will cherish the memories of sitting in his Sunday School class and watching him play/sing songs every week to tell of Jesus’ love. He was so animated during some of the songs and so much fun for the children it was so very special. His going over the meaning of the American and Christian flag was very loving in that every week he gave the full Gospel message. He was one of a kind. We are so blessed to have gotten to know and love him. We thank the family for sharing Mr.Walt with us at Bethel. We pray that you all will find comfort at this time in knowing that he is with the Lord. In Christ’s love, Schutt family

Day is done.
Gone the sun.
From the lakes
From the hills.
From the sky.
All is well.
Safely rest.
God is nigh.
Fading light.
Dims the sight.
And a star.
Gems the sky.
Gleaming bright.
From afar.
Drawing nigh.
Falls the night.
Thanks and praise.
For our days.
Neath the sun
Neath the stars.
Neath the sky
As we go.
This we know.
God is nigh
You will be missed but you are Home.

Walt was a real Dad to me and my sisters. he was also the closest thing to Jesus I have ever seen in the flesh. Walt cared for my mother tenderly, lovingly, patiently, and consistently. He was faithful and enthusiastic in everything he did. He loved God, church, family, all people, children, gardening, music, and engineering. He would come home from church and sometimes get a tear or two in his eyes when telling of some remarkable thing one of his students had said or done. He was so proud of the ones he taught in the past and how they have gone on to do wonderful things with their lives. I could write a book about Walt’s qualities. I love you and miss you Walt. I can’t wait to see you again in Heaven. I know you are having a blast up there.

Dear Betty and family, I am so saddened to hear of Waldimir’s death as he was a dear friend in high school and one of the people I have most admired in my life. We spent a fascinating week at the United Nations in our senior year. He was the perfect person to share it with and I remember wonderful conversations with him all through high school. Sharing yearbook work and, best of all, choir and music were some of my favorite memories of Regional. I send my deepest sympathy to all of you (including Vera). Pam Kydd Jones
