Mr. Hart – “Speck” to his friends – had to have been one of the most serious people that I’ve known. I know he was skeptical of me, probably because I was dating his daughter. Through all that, I could see a serious, but also sincere and devoted man. Well done.

Mr. Hart and I last crossed paths in the Chicago O-Hare Airport sometime around 1983, but that’s a longer story. In the end, we got home safely.
