My condolences to the Holton family. As a native born South Sider not presently living there I am appalled and ashamed that South Side has begotten the kind of violence that took ErvIn’s life. Know that the heart an soul of South Side are with you in this time of mourning.

My sincere condolences to “E” ‘s Mother, Children & Family. My heart and prayers go out to you. May God give you the strength to heal from this tragic and unneccessary loss. I’ve known “E” for several years now and not once did I ever think negatively of this humble, kind and respectful man. Instead, I will remember this “E” as a man who spoke to you with a smile, yelled (in humor) at you with a smile and in general ALWAYS carried a smile on him. I will truly miss that smile. I will remember all the good times we had with you. Watch over us as we struggle with your loss. It goes without saying but be your daughter and son’s guardian angel now. Watch over them and let them know your presence through their time of healing. “E”, you will be highly missed and Easton has definetly taken a loss when they took you away from us. May God be with you and you enjoy what The Kingdom has in store for you. Rest in Peace “DJ E”!

    To the Holton Family,
“To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord” Ervin will be truly missed but the comfort in knowing that he is with our Saviour eases some of the grief. I have known E since 2000 and he has always been kind, respectful and the true nature of a man. Although I haven’t seen him much in the past couple of years just hearing and reading all of the condolences lets me know that he hadn’t changed, he had only gotten better. The joy of just knowing him and having him in my presence for a while will live in my heart. May God continue to Bless and keep each of you in your time of grief!
