I was so sad to hear that Joanne was in hospice. As my 3rd grade language arts teacher, she had a big impact on my life. I thought it was so amazing when I learned that she attended my church! Many years later, she became friends with my mother, Carol Dowling. Carol and Joanne became close friends and I am so grateful for their friendship that blossomed at Green Pond UMC. My mother is now in a memory care facility, but I know she will be sad to hear of Joanne’s passing. She and Dave were supportive to Carol and recently attended her husband, Frank’s funeral. My sincere condolences to everyone that knew and loved Joanne. I know her friend Frank Dowling welcomed her to heaven.
