Norma B. Cray

Norma B. (Anderson) Cray passed away peacefully the evening of 3/31/20 at Abington Manor Senior Living in Easton, PA where she resided since September 2019. She was the widow of Verne A. Cray who preceded her in death in 1990. Born on September 5, 1924 she lived a full life and celebrated her 95th birthday with family and friends last fall.

She was born in Saint Albans, Vermont the daughter of Earle and Isabelle Anderson and moved to the Easton area as a child. She married her husband Verne Cray in 1941 and they had two children and made their home in Palmer Township.

Norma worked for many years for Easton News Company and retired from there in 1987. She was a dedicated employee with a strong work ethic. She was a member of Green Pond United Methodist Church for many years.

Survivors include her daughter Sandra Murto and her husband Thomas of Sachse, TX and her son William Cray and his wife Sandra of Bethlehem, PA along with 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two sisters Marian Brown and Joyce Werkheiser.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, a memorial service will be announced at a later time. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling the arrangements. Norma’s family would like to thank the staff at Abington Manor, St. Luke’s Hospice and Om Sharma, MD and Kristen Brobst, CRNP for their loving care and compassion. You were all a huge part of our lives these past several months and are very much appreciated.
