Eileen M. Lenhart

Eileen M. Lenhart, 72, of Breinigsville, formerly of Allentown, died Tuesday, May 28, 2019 in her home. Born July 30, 1946 in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth W. and Lucy Mae (Bittenbender) Shook.

Eileen worked for the Social Security Administration for many years. Prior to that she served as an assistant to a General at the Pentagon. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Allentown. She sang in the church choir and was a gifted artist.

Surviving are her daughters, Iva Mae Frantz and her husband, Richard K. of Broomall, PA and Kristy Anne Lenhart with whom she resided; a sister, Jean Louise Shook of Horsham, PA and 6 grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 1, 2019 in First Presbyterian Church, 3231 W. Tilghman St., Allentown. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am until service time on Saturday in the church. Interment will be in Centreville Cemetery, Mt. Bethel. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling the arrangements.

Anna H. Wolper

Anna H. Wolper, 101 of Nazareth, PA formerly of Easton, PA died Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Moravian Hall Square. Born October 12, 1917 in Easton she was a daughter of the late Bessie A. (Gano) and Burt Ricker. Her husband Paul K. Wolper died in 1993. A 1935 graduate of Easton High School, she was a former member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Nazareth and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Wilson where she sang in the choir. She had been employed by C.K. Williams Co. and Lafayette College.

She is survived by her children: David P. Wolper and his wife Carol of Cincinnati, OH, Judith Ann Sopko of Bethlehem, PA; 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Paul and sister Jean Brasmer.

A Memorial Service will be held 2 PM Monday (June 3) in Kortz Hall at Moravian Hall Square, 175 W. North St., Nazareth. Interment will be private in Greenwood Cemetery, Allentown. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling arrangements.

John S. “Jack” Bigelow

John S. “Jack” Bigelow, 91, of Palmer Township, formerly of Forks Township, died Saturday, May 18, 2019 in Easton Hospital.

Born March 2, 1928 in Phillipsburg, NJ, he was a son of the late Ramon and Gertrude (Morrow) Bigelow. He and his wife, Arline (Bianchi) Bigelow were married 68 years.

Jack retired from Equitable Insurance, Easton in 1990 after 20 years. Prior to that he was a fireman for the Easton Fire Department for over 20 years. He served in the Navy during WWII and was a member of Belfast Bible Church, Nazareth, VFW Post 15040, and Easton Lodge, #152, Free and Accepted Masons.

Surviving with his wife, Arline, are his children, Christine Yaworski and her husband, Michael; Robin Markle and her husband, Brent; John Bigelow and his wife, Karen; and James Bigelow and his wife, Jody; 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. His sister, Amelia “Peggy” Bigelow died earlier.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 23, 2019 in Belfast Bible Church, 483 Belfast Rd., Nazareth. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am until service time on Thursday in the church. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling the arrangements.

Kerry M. Storm

Kerry M. Storm, 78 of Philipsburg, NJ died Friday, May 17, 2019 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem. Born November 6, 1940 in Easton, PA he was a son of the late June (Swayze) and Walter Storm. He was a graduate of Phillipsburg High School and a Navy veteran. He worked security at Lafayette College and prior to that was an iron worker with the Steelworkers Union of America and a former Easton police officer. Kerry loved coaching baseball for the Easton and Wilson Summer Leagues for 25 years.

He is survived by his children: Michael Storm of Palm Coast, FL, Kristine Storm of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL and 2 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 6 to 7:30 PM Wednesday in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton with a graveside service 10:30 AM Thursday (May 23) in Easton Cemetery, North 7th St., Easton. Robert E. Zimmerman

Robert E. Zimmerman, 93, of West Easton, died Friday, May 17, 2019 in ManorCare, Palmer Township.

Born November 15, 1925 in Easton, he was a son of the late William R. and Anna (Brotzman) Zimmerman.

He worked in the Easton knitting mills and served in the Navy during WWII. He was an avid baseball player and bowler.

Surviving are his children, Ronald Zimmerman, Diana vonSchlichten and Robert Zimmerman, Jr., a brother, Richard Zimmerman, many grandchildren and nieces and nephews. His siblings, William Zimmerman, Frederick Zimmerman and Virginia Edwards died earlier.

Steven Richard Baker, 61 of Easton, PA died Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at the Gardens for Memory Care, Easton. Born June 17, 1957 in Easton, PA he was the son of the late Catherine (Moyer) and Richard H. Baker. Steven loved the outdoors and especially loved fishing with his father. He is survived by his uncle: James Baker.

Patricia Marie Christopher, 90, of Easton, died Tuesday, May 14, 2019 in Easton Hospital.

Born September 18, 1928 in Easton, she was a daughter of the late H. Stanley Butler, Sr. and Mabel F. (Schwar) Butler. She worked at Lafayette College for many years.

She is survived by her children, Barbara J. Brinker of Bethlehem; Linda M. Sotzing of The Villages, FL; Paul J. Christopher of Bethlehem Township; and Charles S. Christopher of Palmer Township; her siblings, H. Stanley Butler, Jr. of Mt. Bethel and Jean E. Fahringer of Plainfield Township; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Frank D. Gualberti

Frank D. Gualberti, 58 of Easton, PA died Friday, May 10, 2019 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. A Wilson High School graduate, he served in the US Army and was a member of the American Legion, Lester Pfeffer Post.

He is survived by many cousins including: Jane Beers, Robert Bossert, Larry DeCesare, Dennis Mammana, Diane Smith and Kay Smolenski. His mother, Vivian Gualberti died in 2016. His family extends their appreciation to the ladies from Good Shepherd Church and the visiting nurses who cared for Frank over the past few years.

Graveside services will be held 1:30 PM Friday at Northampton Memorial Shrine, 3051 Green Pond Road, Easton, PA; the Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling arrangements.
