Doris E. Libby

Doris E. Libby, 92 of Forks Twp., PA died Friday, October 2, 2015 at New Eastwood Care Center. Born January 10, 1923 in Easton, PA she was a daughter of the late Marian (Bean) and Paul Cavazel. Her husband Russell R. Libby died in 2000.

She had previously been employed by Ingersoll Rand and was a member of New Creation United Church of Christ, Palmer Twp. She had been a member of the URW Club and Meals on Wheels volunteer. “Dot” also loved playing cards.

She is survived by four sons: Alan R. and his wife Gwen of Natchez, MS, S. Craig of Forks Twp., PA, Neal S. of Ft. Worth, TX, Brian R. and his wife Lana of Fairmont, WV; 3 sisters: Louise, Joyce, Alice; 6 grandchildren: Gail, Kim, Eric, Meghan, Caitlin, Zane and 4 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Russ and sisters: Eleanor and Betty.

Services are 10:30 AM Tuesday (Oct. 6) in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton, PA with visitation 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Interment will be in Forks Cemetery.

Gayle Williams, 80, of Williams Township, formerly of Drums, PA died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, September 30, 2015.

Born January 18, 1935 in Norwalk, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Marian (Liston) Faull.

She and her husband, Robert A. Williams, were married 52 years.

Surviving with her husband, Robert, are her daughters, Pam Burkart of Branchburg, NJ and Sherri Enwright of Fishers, Indiana and 4 grandchildren.

Services will be private.  The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling the arrangements.

May E. Champagne

September 30, 2015

May E. Champagne, 76, of Palmer Township, died Wednesday, September 30, 2015 in Gracedale.

Born May 24, 1939 in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Lorraine John and Bertha (Jones) Arnold.

May graduated from Wilson High School in 1957 and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from Lebanon Valley College in 1961.  She was a music teacher in the Easton Area School District and the Rondout Valley School District in New York.  She earned a Certificate in Medical Transcription from Northampton Community College in 1975.

May was a member of First United Church of Christ, Easton, the Easton Area Chapter of the Deborah Hospital Foundation, and Chapter 214, Order of the Eastern Star, Easton.

Surviving are her daughter, Tammy Lea Flexer of Allentown and her brother, David T. Arnold, Sr. of Fort Smith Arkansas.

Marian H. Fredericks

Marian H. Fredericks, 68, of Phillipsburg, NJ died Monday, September 28, 2015 in Penn Highlands Elk Health Center after a fall while hiking.

Born August 2, 1947 in Phillipsburg, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Sarah (Collins) Hendershot.

She worked at Barn Hill Care Center, Newton, NJ for 14 years until retiring.

Marian was a member of Phillipsburg Alliance Church and enjoyed dancing and playing bingo.

Surviving are her daughters, Sarah Henderson and her fiancé, Paul of Easton and Paula Macialek and her husband, Mike of Phillipsburg; a sister, Millie Nelson and her husband Eric of Phillipsburg; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.  Her husband, Robert Fredericks, her daughter, Lisa Schoch and her brother, George Hendershot died earlier.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 6, 2015 in Phillipsburg Alliance Church, 255 Lincoln St., Phillipsburg.  A visitation will be held from 10:00 am until service time on Friday in the church.  The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling the arrangements.

Mariece W. Mirra

Mariece W. Mirra, 95 formerly of Washington, NJ died Friday, September 25 2015 at Gracedale.Born October 13, 1919 in Morristown, NJ she was a daughter of the late Hazel (Thompson) and Myron Winslow.

She was a former member of the Gladstone Methodist church.

She is survived by a daughter: Marianne Knapp and her husband George of Easton, PA; a son: Jim Mucklin of Dillsburg, PA and 2 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband John A. Mirra and a son Edward who died in infancy.

Services will be at the convenience of the family. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling the arrangements.

Mary W. Kolodrub

Mary W. Kolodrub, 92, of Palmer Township, formerly of Allentown, died Thursday, September 24, 2015 in Easton Hospital.

Born April 1, 1923 in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Katherine (Hnat) Wityk.

She was predeceased by her husbands, Stephen Kolodrub and Charles Pundiak.

Mary was a graduate of Allentown High School and worked at Western Electric, Allentown for over 20 years.  She and her husband, Stephen traveled to 28 countries throughout Asia, Europe, and South America and she attended five Olympic Games.

She was a member of Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church, West Easton.

Surviving are a daughter, Jean Pundiak and her husband, Jeffrey Johnson of Wayne, PA; a son, Dr. Terry Pundiak and his wife, Carol of Palmer Township; four grandchildren, Tara, Travis, Rebecca, and Katarina; and four great grandchildren.

Parastas services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, September 28, 2015 in the Ashton Funeral Home, Easton.  A visitation will be held from 10:00 am until service time on Monday in the funeral home. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Agnes L. Cosover

September 22, 2015

Agnes Laura Cosover, 99 of Palmer Twp., PA died Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at the VNA Hospice House. Born November 9, 1915 in New York City, she was a daughter of the late Olive (Moulton) and Charles Moore. Her husband Edward M. Cosover died in 1995. She had been employed by the former Easton National Bank and Trust for several years before retiring in 1979.

She is survived by two sons: Charles “Chick” Cosover and his wife Harriet of Milford, NJ, Gerald Cosover and his wife Jane of Palmer Twp., PA; a daughter: Lynn Schroeder and her husband William, Jr. of Philadelphia, PA; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband and a grandson.

Services are 11 AM Saturday, (Sept. 26) in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton, PA with visitation 10 to 11 AM. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine.

Gloria Hartglass

Gloria Hartglass, 90, of Easton, formerly of Bellevue, WA, died Saturday, September 19, 2015 in Easton Hospital.

Born November 17, 1924 in Warsaw, Poland, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Sara (Gudfetder) Zylbersztejn.

Her husband, Jacob Hartglass died in 2010.  She and her husband were Holocaust survivors.

Gloria was a member of Temple Covenant of Peace, Easton where she was an active member of the Knitting Group and the Book Club.

Surviving are a daughter, Sara Camuti and her husband, Vince of Stewartsville, NJ; a son, Bill Hartglass and his wife, Rebecca of Portsmouth, NH; and three grandchildren, Elizabeth Shapiro and her husband, Michael, Mike Hartglass and David Hartglass.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, September 21, 2015 in Temple Covenant of Peace, Easton.  Interment will be in Easton Cemetery.  The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling the arrangements.
