Elsa H. “Elsie” Reuss, 79, of Plainfield Township, died Sunday, June 21, 2015 in Easton Hospital.

Born July 16, 1935 in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Karl and Theresa (Kopfer) Hettel.

She and her husband, the late William G. Reuss, Sr., co-owned Bill Reuss Foreign Car Service, Plainfield Township.

Elsie was a former member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Easton and was a life member of Concordia Maennerchor.  She was a graduate of Churchman Business School.

She is survived by four daughters, Bambi Letson of Wind Gap, Sherrie Buss of Pen Argyl, Nancy Gruver of Plainfield Township and Karla Schultz of Easely, SC; a son, William Reuss, Jr. of Plainfield Township; a brother, Karl Hettel of Belfast; two sisters, Marie Dailey of Forks Township and Margaret Stamets of Easton; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Private graveside services will be held at the Northampton Memorial Shrine.  The Ashton Funeral home, Easton is handling the arrangements.

Jose Luis Roque, 33 of Easton, PA died Thursday, June 18, 2015 at the Hospice House of St. Luke’s.

Born February 13, 1982 in Mexico he was a son of Teresa Justo and the late Juan Roque.

He is survived by his mother; his wife: Erika; his children: Jaime and Karina; 5 brothers and 4 sisters.

A Mass and viewing was held at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, Easton. Interment will be in Mexico.

Ruth N. Syester, 82, formerly of Phoenixville, PA died June 17, 2015 at the Easton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Easton, PA. Born August 19, 1932 in Valley Forge, PA she was a daughter of the late Theresa (Reynolds) and Earl Gable.

A 1950 graduate of Phoenixville High School, she had been employed at Gable Greenhouse in Malvern for many years. She was a member of the Great Valley Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by two daughters: Roxanne Roberto of King of Prussia, PA, Belinda Cooper of Limerick, PA; a brother: David Gable; 4 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband and six brothers and sisters.

Eileen L. (Connelly) Graf, 88 of Phillipsburg, NJ died Friday, June 12, 2015 at Easton Hospital. She was a longtime resident of New York City before moving to New Jersey and was a former member of Catholic Church of Annunciation in Bloomsbury, NJ.

She is survived by a son: Howard W. Graf, Jr. of Hillsborough, NJ, a daughter: Christine Graf of Easton, PA, sisters: Dale Brodeur of New Milford, CT, Faith Padovani of New York City; 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Howard W. Graf and daughter Nancy Lee Graf.

Fernando Arreola, 22 of Palmer Twp., PA died Saturday, June 6, 2015 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Anderson Campus.

Born November 27, 1992 in Chicago, IL he was the son of Maria (Velazquez) Arreola and Fernando Arreola, Sr. He was a graduate of Easton High School.

Survivors: His parents and two brothers: Daniel and Adrian.

Mass will be held 10 a.m. Thursday (June 11) in Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, St. Bernard’s Oratory, 132 S. 5th St., Easton, PA with visitation 9 to 10 a.m. in the church. Interment is in South Easton Cemetery. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling the arrangements

Madeline Torres-Perez, 44, of Palmer Township, died Saturday, June 6, 2015 in St. Luke’s Hospital.

Born September 16, 1970 in Brooklyn, NY, she was a daughter of the late Hector and Eva (Herrera) Torres.

She and her husband, Mynor Perez were married 18 years.

Surviving with her husband, Mynor, are her children, Robert, Joshua, Jeremy, Jasmine, Julianna, Jannelie and Jennipher and one grandchild.
