Name: Roger W. Kutzler, Sr., 76, of Forks Twp., died Sunday, April 8, 2012 at home.
Born: August 7, 1935 in Easton, he was a son of the late W. Donald and Margaret Gulick Kutzler. He and his wife the former Anna Ashton have been married 58 years.
Personal: He and his wife owned and operated Kutzler Chevrolet in Kintnersville for many years; prior to that he worked for Knights Life Insurance, Easton, now American General Life Insurance for many years. He was a 1954 graduate of Easton High School where he played varsity football and was a Past-President of the Varsity E. He also served in the US Army in Germany during the Korean War. He sponsored the Corvette Club for many years and was a Harley-Davidson enthusiast.
Memberships: He attended College Hill Presbyterian Church, Easton and was a 32 degree Mason and 50 year member of Dallas/Lafayette Lodge F&AM #396; he was a member of the Tall Cedars, Easton Forest #35 and Rajah Temple, Allentown. He was also a member of the Survivors of the Battle of the Bulge in honor of his father who was a POW.
Survivors: His wife: Anna; children: Roger, Jr. and his wife Patricia of McMichaels, PA; Jean Chubb and her husband Nick of Doylestown, PA; Kevin Sr. and his wife Lisa of Wind Gap, PA; twin brother: Robert of Palmer Twp.; sisters: Shirley Warren of Easton; Florence Flory of Wilson; 9 grandchildren: Rob, Kyle, Keith, Nathan, Kelly, Kevin Jr., Kory, Kody, Kyler and 6 great-grandchildren: Gage, Tanner, Ava, Gabby, Mackenzy and Chase. He was predeceased by siblings: Donald, Jr. and Linda.
Services: 10:30 a.m.Thursday (4/12) in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton with visitation from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home and Masonic Service at 7:30 p.m. Interment will be in Easton Cemetery.
