Vilma Huertas-Freeman, 65, of Fountain Hill, died peacefully Tuesday, August 4, 2026 in her home. Born June 20, 1961 in Humacao, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Basilio Huertas and Ana Consuelo Berrios. She and her husband, Joseph Timothy “Tim” Freeman were married 48 years. Vilma was a nurse for 38 years working at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, VNA and Saucon Valley Elementary School.
Surviving with her husband, Tim are her son Justis Freeman; two brothers Louis and Rene; six sisters, Ana, Iris, Gloria, Miram, Gabby and Mattie. She was predeceased by a brother, Junito.
There will be a celebration of life for Vilma on Sunday, September 20th at the East Allentown Fire Co. Social Hall from 3-7pm. The venue is located at 405 E Walnut St, Allentown, PA 18109. Please accept or heartfelt condolences. You both were her world . Vilma was a wonderful person . She was beautiful inside and out. I will miss my cousin and will cherish the memories we had working and spending time together . I will miss her great laugh that once you heard it you are laughing right along with her. She was selfless and always took time to read the room and help those in need. Thank you Vilma for making me feel special . I will miss you . Heaven has gained an angel.

Tim & Justis… we were so sorry to hear about Vilma‘s passing… I have so many wonderful memories of her working together at Cedarbrook… We had a lot of fun back then and I will always remember her just exactly like that!
