Bernard S. Leonard, 99, formerly of Bethlehem, Franklin Square, NY, Chester, NY, and West Palm Beach, FL, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 in Weston Care Center, Hellertown. Born September 4, 1923 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Samuel and Yette (Shapiro) Cohen. His wife, Judith I. (Levine) Leonard passed away in 2014. Bernard served in the Army during WWII where he played drums in the Army Air Force Band. He was a co-owner of Arrow Interiors, Queens, NY, a professional drummer, and an avid Mets fan.
Surviving are his children, Caren Leonard and her husband, Peter Holderith, Gary Leonard, and Amy Schupp and her husband, Albert; and three grandchildren, Philip, Julian, and Rebecca.
Services will be private with interment in Forks Cemetery. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling the arrangements.
