Ruth Lore Saalfeld, 101, died Friday, January 26, 2024 in Heather Glen Senior Living, Allentown. Born September 9, 1922 in Stuttgart, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Jettchen (Bernheim) Weil. Her husband, Herbert Saalfeld died in 1980. She was a member of Hebrew Tabernacle Congregation, New York.
Surviving are two children, Harold Saalfeld and Anita Tish; four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 pm on Monday, January 29, 2024 in Cedar Park Cemetery, Paramus, NJ. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling the arrangements. Ruth was truly a delight. Everyone working at Heather Glen knew her as president Ruth because she acted as just that. Sweetest soul, always found a way to make us laugh. She will be missed immensely, sending my prayers❤️

Anita & family, I was so sorry to hear about the death of your mother, Ruth. It was always a delight to see her at Heather Glen. I know my mother, Kathryn Helffrich, enjoyed sharing the centenarian spotlight with her.
