I am sorry to hear the news of Tom passing.. Tom was a kind, gentle soul. He gave so much to the game of tennis, esp in our local community. I knew him first as my captain of DOUBLESMASH and more recently in high school coaching circels. I just saw him a few weeks ago at girls Districts. Even with all he was going through, he kept coaching and smiling, while supporting his players. I wish his family peace and fond memories of him. His impact on young people’s lives will continue for years to come. Thank you to Tom and his family for sharing his time with us.

I had the privilege of playing on tennis teams for which Tom was the captain and was a opposing school coach. Tom was always a pleasure to coach against, his smile and sweet demeanor would always make my day. My deepest condolences to his family for your loss.

All of you who knew Tom, knew what a special person and gifted person he was. How he loved the sport of tennis, the girls he coached and people on and off the court. He was always a person who thought of others before himself and didn’t expect anything in return. He was always out there to make you a better person on and off the court and never gave up on you, no matter how bad of a player you might have been and treated everyone equally. He just had a special way with words to boost you up to make you feel better about yourself as a player and person. He truly loved life and people. He was just an amazing man and one of a kind. With every amazing man there is a amazing woman his wife Beverley, thank you so much for sharing Tom with all of us and giving him the time to coach our girls and his love for the sport of tennis. He is truly a legend when it comes to the sport of tennis and without your support it never would have been possible, and for that we all thank you from the bottom of our hearts. As a coach, mentor, and friend we will forever hold you in our hearts and minds. We Love you Coach, always in our thoughts and prayers my friend. God bless, rest in peace and see you soon Coach!
