James Kenneth Eckert, 69 of Raubsville, PA died Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Anderson Campus. Born October 24, 1956 in Easton, PA he was a son of the late Mary (Zegalia) and Floyd Eckert. A 1974 graduate of Wilson High School, he was employed in supervisory positions at both Ingersoll Rand Turbo Division and BASF. Jim was the President of Sportsmans Rest, Dingman’s Ferry, PA and was a member of the former St. Paul’ s Lutheran Church, Raubsville. Uncle Jimmy, as he was known to the kids, had a great sense of humor and was a dog’s best friend. He was also an avid Phillies fan, considered by many as the original Phillie “fanatic”. If anyone ever needed help, all they had to do was dial “J” for Jimmy.
He is survived by his brothers: Richard and his wife Elaine, Earl and his wife Lucy; niece and nephew: Courtney and Josh; great nieces and nephews: Gabriel, Cameron, Logan, Cole, Lilly and Mackenzie; and his canine nephews: Brett and Bennie, who could do no wrong.
Services are 11 AM Monday, December 22, 2025 in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton, PA with visitation from 10 to 11 AM. Interment is in Raubsville Cemetery. Offer online condolences at www.AshtonFuneralHome.com.
