Louise Adams Michler

Louise Adams Michler, 95, formerly of Easton, passed away peacefully Sunday, August 11, 2013 at Chandler Estates, Pen Argyl.

Born: Born April 2, 1918 in Carlisle, PA she was a daughter of the late Earl Elu and Audrey (Frey) Adams.

Personal: A graduate of Carlisle HS in 1935 and Dickinson College in 1939, she was a loving homemaker for her husband and children. Louise was a teacher in the Easton Area School District until retiring in 1976.  She started her teaching career at Palmer Elementary School, but spent most of her tenure as a math teacher at Easton Junior HS. She enjoyed needlepoint and sewing for her family. She was an avid reader of mysteries and inspirational fiction in her later years and liked to solve Sudoku puzzles.  She also loved to travel, especially to Bermuda and other Caribbean destinations.

Memberships: She was a member of the Palmer Township Community Moravian Church where she was a sacristan and rummage sale volunteer.

Survivors: A daughter: Sandra Imes of Starksboro, VT and her husband Richard; a son: Robert Michler and his wife Nancy of Pen Argyl; three granddaughters: Krista and Samantha Imes, Megan Michler; and a sister: Miriam Steinmetz of Carlisle, PA. She was predeceased by her husband: Robert Wilson Michler in March of 1991 and her brother: Harold Adams.

Services: A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 19th in the Church, John Street at Moravian Avenue, Palmer Twp. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling the arrangements.

Memorial Contributions: May be made to Palmer Moravian Church, 2901 John Street, Easton, PA  18045.

    “God is for us a refuge and strength, a help that is readily to be found during distresses.” (Psalms 46:1) My deepest condolences to the family on the loss of your loved one. I didn’t know Louise, but was sorry to hear of her passing. And may the above words give you comfort knowing that the Almighty God will continue with you to comfort and strengten you during this difficult time.

    Our thoughts are with you and Nancy and your family in this time of sorrow about your mother Louise. May the fond memories of the years of your family life with your mother help you find peace in knowing Louise is at peace with God and in a
