Dear Mrs. Smith and family,
Janice and I wish to express our condolences to you on the loss of Mr. Smith. We were your neighbors from 1984 to 1993 next to the Snyders on Marc Lane. We then moved behind you, so we still got to see both of you often. Mr Smith always had a kind word and a smile. He watched our children grow up and always asked about them. We are glad we got to know him.

Dear Naomi and family,
Here is a poem that reminds me of Wendell. My prayers are with you at this time.
The Joy Of A Garden
The joy of creation,
A gardener knows,
Holds more than the
Beauty of a lily and rose.
For he feels warm blessing,
Like sunshine in May,
Of working together
With God day by day.
The joy of each person
Who shares the glad sight
Of blossoming glory
Is more than delight.
For always in gardens
The soul is aware
Of God’s loving presence
And walks with Him there.
Wendell was the best gardener I ever knew. He shared the fruits of his garden with
many. He took a piece of my heart with him to the other side. I am sure it is in good care.
