Laura was a lovely warm person and very talented writer. She was part of our writer’s group for many years and I know all of us appreciated her generous and insightful critiques, and looked forward to reading her own wonderful works in progress.

Laura was one of the most kind and compassionate people we’ve ever known. It was such a joy to sing with her in church and to have gotten a glimpse into her love of music, family, and especially, her husband Paul. Our prayers are with Paul and her children as they go through this difficult time. We hope that they find comfort in knowing that Laura is resting in the arms of her Savior.

Laura contributed a great deal to my writing when we were both members of our NJ writers group. I valued her talent, and her grace. My deepest sympathies go to her husband, children, grandchildren, and family members.

She leaves a lasting legacy of her many talents & abilities. Although we know she has “graduated” to her great reward with Jesus, it is a difficult time for those who love her. Uncle Paul, Jenny, Brian and Steve — My thoughts have been with you all since hearing the news of Aunt Laurie and my heart breaks for your loss…for it’s those of us left behind that must cope without. I have many fond memories of her and you all! Mom passed away 10 years ago and it still seems like yesterday. I picture them together “chatting it up” and watching as angels from above. Their spirt is very much alive in all of us. I will be thinking of you all this weekend and will be there in my heart. Much Love, Lynn

    Paul, and family:

I was the secretary at both Bradley Gardens and Hamilton School for many years, and shared many wonderful stories with Laura as well as a great friendship. Laura was an excellent listener, and related to both the children and adults on all levels!

Stocking the library at Hamilton School and watching it become something magical was pure excitement for us both. Hamilton School holds many fond memories of seeing literally a shell of a building turn into a full operational and functioning school, ALIVE with learning.

Laura was a true lady, and very much the professional. I recall her inviting a few of us to your home on Stony Brook Drive so she could show us your beautiful renovated kitchen. (I also was very good friends of Doris and Werner Kuegler)

I am grateful for having known Laura, and I know she will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

    Sincerely and with deep sympathy,
    Dorothy Reed

Dear Paul and family, We fondly remember our years singing in choir and being with Laura at Christ Church in Bridgewater. We moved away in 1988 but still travel to NJ to see family & friends up in the “valley”. We retired to St Michaels, MD in 1992. Our prayers and sympathy are with you.
