I am so saddened to hear about Wilma! She was so beautiful inside and out! As a child, I looked forward to going up to Palmer School the few days before school started to help her ready her classroom for the first day of school. I would brag to all my schoolmates that I had a cousin who was a teacher where I attended! I aspired to be like her. Parties and picnics were often enjoyed at her Stockertown home. My dad often spoke of his childhood memories with her and the things they had in common. Mom, Dad, Grandmother and our Dear Aunt Hattie told me how I had the same color hair as my 3 beautiful cousins… Dad’s cousins. I always took pride in that! She was a good niece to my grandmother…more like a loving, caring, friend. I will always remember Wilma with fondness. Her absence leaves a big hole in the family and in the world! May God comfort her family at this very sad time.

Wilma’s passing comes as such a shock. How I loved her gentle soul and wonderful sense of humor. My earliest memory of Wilma is of her beautiful wedding to Jack. in which I served as a timid but proud Flower Girl. She was more like a big sister than a cousin, and I’m grieved at this loss more than I can say. Jack, Kim and Bill, you have my loving support. My childhood would not have been nearly as happy were it not for summers spent with Wilma and the extended family clan in Old Orchard. Forgive me if words fail me. We’ve lost a remarkably kind, beautiful and sweet woman, a brilliant teacher, a beloved friend. Wilma, I will love you always. I know that Wally is grateful to have you near. Bless your soul. Love evermore ~ Junie
