Annette, I am so sorry for your loss.

To Those I Love – Isla Paschal Richardson

If I should ever leave you whom I love
To go along the Silent Way,
    Grieve not,
Nor speak of me with tears,
    But laugh and talk
Of me as if I were beside you there.
    (I‘d come-I‘d come, could I but find a way!
But would not tears and grief be barriers?)
And when you hear a song or
    See a bird I loved,
Please do not let the thought of me be sad…
For I am loving you just as I always have…
You were so good to me!
There are so many things I wanted still
To do—so many things to say to you…
Remember that I did not fear—
It was just leaving you that was so hard to face…
    We cannot see Beyond…
    But this I know:
    I loved you so –
    Twas heaven here with you!

    Dear Annette,

I doubt that you would remember me, but I have many fond memories of you, your mother, and the family bird that once lived at 914 Porter Street. I enjoyed renovating my rental properties, but never really enjoyed interacting with most of my tenants until I was lucky enough to meet you and your mom. I believe you were just graduating from Lafayette at the time and your mom was working at Baker Chemical. I always looked forward to hearing about both of your careers and accomplishments. I was sorry to see you move on, but I was so happy for both of you when I got to see your new home which turned out to be just around the corner!

Please know that Marilyn will be missed, but never forgotten. Thank you both for the fond memories and the good times we had together.

    Sincerely,
    Phil

So sorry to read of Marilyn’s passing. I worked with her at the Waste-water treatment at J.T. Baker until her retirement. We would compare restaurants and her reviews would send me off to try out the ones she thought were good. When I complained about my home-made spaghetti sauce, Marilyn told me how to improve it. I always enjoyed our talks during my day shifts at the plant. Marilyn would talk of Annette with pride and how intelligent her daughter is. I could tell she loved Annette with all her heart. May Marilyn Rest In Peace.
