William H. Seifert, 91 formerly of Bethlehem Twp., PA died Friday, March 9, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospice House. Born Mar. 26, 1926 in E. Bangor, PA he was a son of the late Albert and Annie (Chapman) Seifert. A 1944 graduate of Easton High School, he served in the army during World War II. He had been employed by Binney and Smith for many years before retiring in 1988. He was one of the original volunteers at the Crayola Factory where a yellow crayon was dedicated to him. He also volunteered at MusikFest, the Celtic Fest and the National Canal Museum. Bill was a member of the former Christ Lutheran Church in Lower Saucon Twp., PA.

He is survived by his son: Rodney L. and his wife Sheila of Rockaway, NJ; brother: Thomas and his wife Helen of Williams Twp., PA; sister: Gladys Nicholas of Macungie, PA; 2 grandsons: Christian and his wife Jessica, Gregory and his wife Jennifer; and 8 great-grandchildren. His wife, Grace (Kanuskey) died in 1998.

Services are 10:30 AM Thursday, Mar. 15 in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Durham, 821 Durham Road, Durham, PA with visitation 6 to 7:30 PM Wednesday in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton, PA. Interment is in Durham Cemetery.

Marvin B. Rosenthal, M.D., 88, of Williams Twp., PA died Thursday, March 8, 2018, at Country Meadows in Bethlehem. Born Jan. 1, 1930, in Brooklyn, NY, he was a son of the late Elizabeth (Gartner) and Robert Rosenthal. He was a graduate of Alfred University and received his medical degree from the University of Leiden in Holland. After serving his residency at Kings County Hospital in New York, he completed a Fellowship in Hematology at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and then served as a Captain in the US Air Force. He was a partner at the Somerset Pediatric Group in Bridgewater, NJ for many years where he was also a past-president of the Heart Association of Somerset County. From 1984 until 1999, he worked with the Family Practice Residency at Warren Hospital in Phillipsburg, NJ. He was also an adjunct professor at the New Jersey College of Medicine. Dr. Rosenthal was a past-president and member of the Temple Covenant of Peace, Easton; and former board member of Historic Easton. He was an avid tennis player who loved classical music and traveling with his wife.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years: Janet (Swerlick), his son: Robert G. and wife Kerrie M. of Palatine, IL, his sister: Marilyn Koff of Mahwah, NJ, and two grandchildren: Jonathan and Sarah, both of Chicago. He was predeceased by his son Jonathan in 1987.

Services are 1 PM Sunday, March 11 at the Temple Covenant of Peace, 1451 Northampton St., Easton. Interment is in Easton Cemetery. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling arrangements.

Katy C. McAllister, 91, of Glendon, died Monday, March 5, 2018 in Moravian Village, Bethlehem.

Born Dec. 15, 1926, in Bloomsbury, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Pearl (Bates) Wyant.  Her husband, Robert N. “Mac” McAllister, died in 1999.

Katy was a member of Green Pond United Methodist Church, Easton, and she enjoyed traveling the country with her family.  She loved children and was a grandmother to many.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Bryfogle and her husband Thomas of Nazareth, PA;  two sons, Douglas McAllister and his wife Bernadette of Half Moon Bay, CA,  and James McAllister and his wife Melody of Glendon, PA; 10 grandchildren and many great-and great–great-grandchildren.

Her son, Robert N. McAllister, and her daughter, Carolyn J. McAllister, died earlier.

Services will be held at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, March 14, 2018, in Green Pond United Methodist Church, 4411 Green Pond Rd., Easton.  A visitation will be held from 1 pm until service time on Wednesday in the church.  Interment in Northampton Memorial Shrine.  The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton, is handling the arrangements.

Angelo R. Palma, 64 of Palmer Twp., PA died Saturday, March 3, 2018 at his home. Born November 6, 1953 in Easton he was a son of the late Carmella (Curcio) and Raymond Palma. He was a 1971 graduate of Pius X High School and graduate of the Northampton Community College nursing program.  He was a Registered Nurse at the Hunterdon Medical Center for many years before retiring in 2015. Angelo was a combat medic in the former 91 Bravo-Combat US Army Reserve and also served at Fort Sam Houston.

He is survived by: his wife of 20 years: Melissa “Lisa” (Seibel) Palma; son: Matthew Palma and his wife Sarah of Nazareth and their daughters: Roxannah, Giada, Nahdia and Savina; daughters: Mandi Jo Palma of Wind Gap, PA, Tiffany Palma and her fiancé Vince Schaar of Quakertown, PA; brother: Joseph Palma and his wife Juliana of West Bangor, PA and his faithful Dachshund companions: Remy and Cooper.

Vaso Patronis, 88, of Wilson Borough, died Wednesday, February 28, 2018 in Easton Hospital.

Born March 20, 1929 in Hrisou-Evrytania, Greece, she was a daughter of the late Seraphim and Athena (Hrisikou) Karanikas.  She and her husband, Konstantinos Patronis were married 58 years.

Vaso was a custodian for many years for the Wilson Area School District and was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Wilson Borough.

Surviving with her husband, Konstantinos are a son, George Patronis of Bethlehem Township; a brother, Pavlo Karanikas of Wilson Borough; two sisters, Kathy Pappas of Williams Township and Anthoula Pagousi of Greece; 2 granddaughters and a great grandson.  She was predeceased by 2 daughters, Niki Patronis and Sofia Brotzman; 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 2, 2018 in Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Wilson Borough.  A visitation will be held from 10:00 am until service time on Friday in the church.  Interment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.  The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling the arrangements.

Shirley M. Kinsley, 89 formerly of Belvidere, NJ died Friday, February 23, 2018 at ManorCare Old Orchard. Born June 15, 1928 in Belvidere, NJ she was a daughter of the late Helen (Shay) and Calvin Thatcher. She was of the Lutheran faith and loved to garden.

She is survived by a daughter: Yolanda Braun of Forks Twp., PA; 2 sons: Lester Hoffman of Belvidere, Ralph Hoffman of Bath, PA; brothers: Donald and Lou Thatcher; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Her husband Robert E. Kinsley and 5 siblings died earlier.

Philip “Pip” Catalino, 90, of Calabash, NC, formerly of Roseto, died Thursday, February 22, 2018 in New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Born November 3, 1927 in Roseto, he was a son of the late Anthony and Lucy (Sabatine) Catalino.

Pip worked for Valerie Fashions, Wind Gap for many years and retired in 1992.  He served in the Army during WWII and was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church; American Legion, Post 750, Roseto; Columbia Fire Co., Roseto and Pius X Athletic Association.

Surviving are his wife, Rose M. (Palmisano) Catalino; a son, Guy Catalino and his wife, Jane of Calabash, NC; a brother, Neil Catalino of Las Vegas; grandchildren, Tiffany, Sean, Jillian and Daniel and a great grandson, Liam.

Services will be held at 9:00 am on Saturday, March 3, 2018 in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton.  A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:30 pm on Thursday, March 1st in the funeral home.   Entombment will be held privately in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
