Lynne D. Fegley

Lynne D. Fegley

Lynne Daphne Fegley, 83 of Easton, PA went to be with her Lord, Wednesday, October 11, 2023. Born in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Nathan and Ruth (Gingles) Fegley. She was a 1958 graduate of Easton High School where she enjoyed participating in all the sports, including tennis. Lynne was an operator for Verizon for 33 years before retiring. Prior to that she worked for Mary MacIntosh and Bell Telephone.

In 1977, Lynne came to faith in Jesus Christ which began a joy-filled journey in getting to know and love Him more each day. This started her years of service to others, including random acts of kindness. She was a member of Rock Church, Easton where she taught children about her Savior and His word for over 30 years until her health declined. She is survived by her sister Judy Ann Fegley with whom she resided.

Services are 10:30 AM Thursday (Oct. 19) in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton with visitation 10 to 10:30 AM. Interment is in Easton Cemetery. Robin Anne Holifield

Robin Holifield

Robin A. Holifield, 60 died October 1, 2023 in Virginia Beach, VA. Born October 13, 1962  she was a daughter of the late Mary Ann and Robert Howell. She leaves to cherish her memories a host of relatives and friends.

Daniel W. Cwynar

Daniel W. Cwynar

Daniel Walter Cwynar, 81 of Williams Twp., PA died Thursday, October 5, 2023 at home. Born August 29, 1942 in Scranton, PA he was a son of the late Elinor (Kupiec) and Walter Cwynar. He graduated from Scranton Central HS in 1960, received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University in 1964 and Master’s degrees in Engineering and Statistics from Johns Hopkins and Rutgers, respectively. He was a member of honor fraternities: Eta Kappa Nu, Sigma Tau, Tau Beta Phi and Alpha Phi Omega.

Dan was employed by AT&T (formerly Bell Labs) for 34 years before retiring in 1998 as a Division Manager in Corporate Strategy and Development. He was a member of College Hill Presbyterian Church in Easton and the Men’s Garden Club in Watchung, NJ. He was an Eagle Scout with two Palms and a GED math tutor. He served on the Williams Twp. Sewage Committee, was finance chairmen at Union Village United Methodist Church and was a Treasurer for Legacy at Morgan Hill. A jack-of-all-trades who could fix anything, Dan loved gardening, his fish, woodworking, making stained glass and watching Penn State football.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ellen (Augustin) Cwynar; his children Christy Cwynar (Christopher) of Warren Twp., NJ, Greg Cwynar of Jeffersonville, VT, Ted Cwynar (Jennifer) of Holland Twp., NJ; sister Carol Giersch (Davis); nephews Jason and Nathan; grandchildren Ava and James; and extended family Jim Auld (Susan) and their children Kristin, Karlee and Thomas.

A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM Saturday (Oct. 14, 2023) at College Hill Presbyterian Church, 501 Brodhead St., Easton with a calling period from 5 to 6:30 PM Friday in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton and 10:30 to 11 AM Saturday in the church.

Jack Lee Morgan

Jack Lee Morgan, 66 of Easton, PA died Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Anderson Campus. Born October 10, 1956 in Pottsville, PA he was a son of the late William and Ida (Kolbuski) Morgan. He is survived by siblings and close friends.

Carol A. Morley

Carol Ann Morley, 75 of Nazareth, PA died Thursday, September 21, 2023 at home. Born December 9, 1947 in Easton, PA she was a daughter of the late Betty (Smith) and Raymond Dietz, Sr. A 1965 graduate of Easton High School she was employed by Electric Sanitary Laundry and American Can before retiring from ManorCare, Easton in 2010 as a CNA.

She is survived by her children: Denise Warner, with whom she resided, Jesse Morley, III (wife Mary) of Bangor; brothers: John Dietz, Sr. of Pen Argyl, PA, Raymond Dietz, Jr. of Washington, NJ; 3 grandchildren: Caitlin, Alexander, Jacob and her dog: Mittens. Her husband Jesse Morley, Jr. died in 2015.

Services are 10:30 AM Monday (September 25) in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton with visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Interment is in Arndts Cemetery, Forks Twp., PA. Robert E. “Bob” Hall

Robert E. Hall

Robert Eugene “Bob” Hall, 90, formerly of North Carolina died Monday, September 18, 2023 at Easton Skilled Nursing Center, Easton, PA. Born August 31, 1933 in Three Bridges, NJ he was a son of the late G. Lester and Edythe M. (Perrine) Hall. He was a graduate of Flemington High School and served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. Bob was employed by Square D., Walter Kidde, Boston Gear and Johnson & Johnson before retiring. He was of the Baptist faith and a three time Past-Master of Wake Forest Masonic Lodge #282, F&AM and a Past President of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.

He is survived by sons: Les Hall (wife Lorrie) of Mt. Bethel, PA, David and Keith Hall both in California; a brother: George Hall, Jr. of Hopewell, NJ; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter. He was predeceased by wives: Marilyn Hall and Frances (Satterwhite) Hall; children: Robert Hall, Jr., Roberta Storm, Betsy Pogorzelski; and brothers: Rodney and Alvin “Cary” Hall.

A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM Friday (Sept. 22) in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton with a calling period from 10 to 11 AM. Christopher J. Cressman

Christopher J. Cressman, 43, of Bethlehem, died Friday, September 15, 2023 in St. Luke’s Hospital, Lehighton. Born December 5, 1979 in Bethlehem, he was the son Gail (Cooper) Cressman and the late Daniel E. Cressman. Christopher graduated from Liberty High School in 1997 and enjoyed drawing, comic books, and music.

Surviving with his mother, Gail, are a brother, Daniel J. Cressman and his wife, Tika; a sister, Elizabeth Cressman, a nephew and three nieces.

Vernon Denson

Vernon Denson, 73, of Easton, PA passed away peacefully at home on September 14, 2023.
Vernon was born in Winter Park, FL on August 31, 1950 to James and Tessie Denson. He is survived by his children Lakeisha Williams, Stephen Guzzo, Takeia Guzzo, Nicholas Guzzo and Nichole Bealer along with 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Vernon was preceded in death by his parents, brother James Denson Jr., sister Gloria Williams (Denson), and son Dennis “Craig” Rutt.

Vernon was a successful business owner of Spice of Life located in Easton, PA for the past 9 years and self-taught furniture refinisher. He achieved a degree in machinery and held various construction jobs in his early years carrying him through several states which provided us with the many stories we’ll come to miss hearing that he acquired through his travels. His legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone who encountered him.

A vigil will be held for Vernon on Friday, September 22, 2023 at 5 pm in the front of his store at 456 Northampton Street and a celebration of Vernon’s life will be held Saturday, September 23, 2023 at The American Legion Lester Pfeffer 429 S 16th Street, Easton, PA.
