Dear Melanie & Melinda, My mother Betty & I were saddened to hear of you moms passing. Mom & I share many happy memories of her, your dad & of you 2 girls when we were kids playing in your parents backyard/orchard for many picnics. My sister Louise & her became closer friends both being from Martins Creek & sharing rides to OES affairs. She truly was one “GRAND” lady & will be missed by many.. With deepest sympathy, Betty L & Karen

To the family of Gladys Millheim,
We are saddened by the news of the passing of dear Gladys. She was a friend for many years and was a wonderful asset to Forks Township and to the greater community, which she served.
The Miller family friendship was a long one, dating back to her days of Girl Scouting, with .Helen Miller, leader. Our current years’ contact was with the Forks Township Historical Society, which she helped to establish. May she rest in peace.

I was truly sadden to learn of the passing of Gladys. She was such a great lady. I got to know about the history of Forks Township from her. Particularly the area she lived in. I used to walk and bike ride the old rail trail near where she lived. In my inquisitiveness of the former railroad Gladys provided detailed written descriptions and pictures of what formerly was known as the “Cement Line”. I found several artifacts of that rail line and eventually gave them to her to give to the Forks Township Historical Society before we moved out of state. May she be at peace now. Fondly remembered, Charles and Donna (Tucson Arizona)

To the family of Gladys Millheim,
I was so sorry to see the news of Gladys’ passing. I was the Food Service Director at Lafayette in the 1980’s. Our paths crossed many times but I remember the day I taught her to eat fried oysters. She trusted me and tried them and said they were good–maybe to make me happy. We often talked about recipes and a favorite recipe cookbook my family printed. Please take pleasure in her memory.
